I think, but I"m not sure, that its confined to those people that run Windows XP. It's not happening at work and I'm on Windows 2000 Pro.

only when i open a thread he has responded to, but it is gone now, i did notice that he had a line in his signatur that was giving an error message when this was happening.

the error message is gone, and so it the password request.
