The Dodgers are damn scary! Due to my family attachments, I completely love the Dodgers… And then of course with Teoscar (the dumbest trade in Blue Jays history) and with him being my favorite player, etc., etc. However, I have to say I am completely with the Blue Jays… But I have to agree that the Dodgers are going to win the World Series. They are just too good. Too polished. Too perfect.

Greatest game in the history of sports. The only potential equivalence would be as a quarterback throwing 300 yards & 3 touchdowns, and then playing as a CB with a couple of interceptions
A word to the Wise.

What Ohtani did in that one game was done before, done probably better and done not by Ruth or some other legendary name but by ......

Rick Wise of the Philadelphia Phillies.

In 1971, Rick Wise of the Philadelphia Phillies pitched a no-hitter against Cincinnati, while also hitting two homers. Although it wasn’t a postseason game, Wise is one player with a legitimate case to have bested Ohtani’s effort last week.

And later in that 1971 season, Wise pitched a 12-inning complete game — retiring 32 batters in a row at one point — and won the contest himself with a walk-off hit.

That Rick Wise performance was great. But as you said yourself, it wasnt (in the pressure cooker of) a postseason game.
It is for the same reason that even though many have hit 3 home runs in a game, the 3 hit by Reggie Jackson in Game 6 of the 1977 World Series, on 3 swings no less, is considered the greatest 3 dinger game of all time. He wasnt called Mr. October for nothing
