Shouldice

I had surgery there many years ago. I'm pleased. I was out @ 2 days after surgery. It's got to be better than being in a hospital if you have that option.
Make sure you follow the shaving directions. Some of my roomates didn't. So the nurse dry shaved them. She wasn't cute either.

The grounds are so nice that they are rented out for wedding photos. I thought it was funny to have patients strolling around in their PJs with bridal parties coming and going.

I tried that the other night.....funny enough some dude came over to me and told me to meet him in the washroom in 15 mins....he said he would go in the stall and tap his foot 3 times....after that, I didn't feel like a beer....kind of felt dirty

Thanks for the heads up.............he's been courting me for weeks, I thought he just wanted to be friends.

Good place for surgery

opt for the local anesthesia only. Will be home same day.

I had a double. They did one side on a Monday, the other side on Wednesday and went home on Friday. Some people are more sore afterwards than others. I was pretty beat up and stayed home for another week before going back to work. Most of the patients were definitely uncomfortable.

Having said that, I'd highly recommend Shouldice. I appreciated having a staff who were all very knowledgeable about the procedure (which might not be the case in a general hospital) looking after me for the first few days and being around a bunch of others who have all been through the same thing. It's actually funny seeing 50 guys walking hunched over.

Their success rate is 98.5%. 40% of their cases are retreats from other hospitals.

Ah, all this praise for the Shouldice...It is world renowned, it is Canadian,
And it is A PRIVATE(FOR PROFIT) Hospital.....
Now about Health-care reform in Canada.............

Just to point out that "for Profit" Healthcare, does not nessasrily mean Bad Healthcare!
