Too much can be overkill - just like you experienced - and cause headaches. You likely popped a full 100mg and as you said yourself, didn't want to fuck at all with that boner.
lower dosage, empty stomach, empty stomach and then eating right after, are all options to get a better experience with Viagra.
If the OP posts how much he took we might be able to give him guidance on what to try next.

I have daily dose cialis 4mg and if I do take it daily I get bad heartburn, so I only take it every 2 or 3 days. Because of the lasting effects of it this works for me!

Viagra works when I need it. No side effects.
Viagra and cialis takes a few tries to figure out your own dosage. With viagra 100mg (I use generic) I cut it down to 1/8ths or ~12.5mg, though given the size of the pill getting it to that size with a pill cutter ends up with little bits. A solid 25mg is too much for me. 80% of the time I'll have a mild headache as a known side effect. For me viagra only works when it's been 4+ hours after eating, and it takes over an hour to kick in. Ultimately I have to plan my day. It's out of my system after ~5 hours.
Cialis 10mg (again I use generic here) also takes over an hour to kick in for me. I haven't really tested it with food, though I also try to take it 4+ hours after eating. It lasts a good 48+ hours. Known side effect in my case 100% of the time is a mild headache the entire time. Cialis I find better where I don't have to plan out my day. If my schedule matches SP/MPA availability then I'll do day after day appointments.
For both cialis and viagra my erection can get really rock hard and seems larger than usual though I know it's all in my head (mentally). Neither does anything to reduce the refractory period so I always book an hour. Sometimes a girl will start the second round after five minutes and I'll have to tell her I need more time to recharge. for showing me the way.Just take much less, like 1/4 of a pill. You’ll find even the smallest amounts give you a nice boost with no side effects. Then to grate up to your desired level.
