Generally, whether lifting for bulk or tone, you should lift every other day. Your muscles need a day off. Try upper body free weights one day and lower body workouts (squats etc.) the next. If you keep doing repetitive free weights with the same muscle groups, you risk turning the twinge into a muscle tear or sprain.

no, not bench press lol. i have limited room in my truck. i got dumbell i bring with me. i am doing straight out to my side 20 times, straight forward 20 times, 50 curls, 50 behind my head, 20 more curls, then i bend over and lift straight up 50 times, then i use my limited space and do 30 push ups.

alrighty. i was just wondering. i been doing the same stuff over and over for a few months now. elbow is acting up since yesterday, i turned it weird while i was lowering my arm and i felt a weird feeling. not a lot for options in a truck for switching work outs every day, i just try to work with the space i have.

Are you doing curls?

If so you should go up in 5lb increments... I have also experienced that "twinge" then an achey feeling down the inner part of my forearm... You need to stretch that area specifically an rest it for a couple days.
I also had a weird sensation like my grip can go limp. After some rest I got back to normal.
yeah that is what i got going on. usually i use my left to hold the steering wheel but even that was aggravating me today.

Honestly I would just do body weight exercises. I have friends who do hardcore Kodokan Judo and only do Body weight exercise and they are jacked up and don't suffer that same pains and aches that I do.
If you have limited space do a search for "Top Bodyweight exercises" on Youtube. Burpees, hindu squats duck walks etc. You don't need weights for those.
i am working with a very small area inside the truck. lots of room for the top half of me to move, not as much for the bottom half but i will look into it. thanks.

You probably pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve. You should stop doing ex resides for a week or so to let it heal. Best bet would be to see a physio or your doctor

What exercise are you doing? Regardless 30 pounds is light for any exercise and please don't say bp. If it is BP I suggest sewing.
30 pound dumbells are not light for side and front raises. If you can do 30lb front raises with perfect form you are in much better shape than most people. Lifting heavy weights doesn't mean a thing if yoiu don't do it correctly. The number of people who lift weights incorrectly and don't realize it amazes me. There is a lot of information on the internet, don't listen to the so-called experts on terb, most of who haven't lifted more than a big mac or can of coke in years.

simon, sounds like you have tendenitis in your elbow. Give it a rest for a week. Ice for one minute and heat for two minutes on the elbow joint, try doing this at least about ten minutes X 3 times per day for a week . GB

Sounds more like he has been overdoing the one handed "Shake Weight" exercises...without the Shake Weight

Dude....you gotta give your muscle group you're working atleast 48 hours rest between training them...legs require 72......usually
Sounds like you irritated the nerve going down the triceps thru the elbow ...
Give it 72 hours...take an anti inflammatory...drop your weight down again
