So, this was a little awkward...

Last weekend, I managed to pull something in my lower back. In the past, I have gone to see an RMT near where I live. She's cute and effective, although I am always tempted to try a "flip" to see what happens, but since my wife sees her too, I decided that wasn't a good idea....

When I was at work yesterday, I mentioned this back thing to a guy in the office. He suggested I see his massage therapist since he was close to our office. He went to see a guy, but said he was very good and also practised "Active Release" which works on my back generally.

So I call this guy and set up an appointment for today. He gave me his address and when I arrived I was surprised to see it was a condo.

Upstairs, he had a pretty professional set-up with a proper table and posters of body parts, as well as the typical sappy music. I got naked and under the towel. The massage that followed was very good... much harder than I was used to, but seemed to loosen me up pretty well. We chatted and he told me he is a qualified sports trainer and fitness coach. All very proper. But then.... ya, you guessed it....

The dude starts playing around my butt and after a moment asks if I want a "release"... and this time it wasn't "AR" apparently. I didn't know how to respond because up until that point, everything had been very professional.

Anyway, I mumbled something like... "Oh I'm ok, thanks though..." and that was it.

Now I'm as open-minded as they come but now I am curious ... let me re-phrase that... I'm wondering about my coworker. He's married with a couple of kids. Now I'm wondering if he was trying to test me to see if I was "that way" or if he was just being funny. I assume that he must take advantage of the "release" since he raved about the guy and apparently sees him quite often. I haven't been back to the office so I'm wondering what to do when I see him tomorrow... Any ideas?

No ideas, but that's pretty funny, especially if you aren't bi (or gay).

But it really is a mystery that needs solving. Did the guy at work mention to the RMT that he was married with kids, and thus was not offered the release? Was the guy at work trying to punk you? Is the guy at work on the down low? Is the guy at work on the down low and looking for a 'friend'? Did you hesitate for more than 15 seconds when offered the release? :)

Damn, I probably did. I am about as straight as they come, and also mentioned the wife and kids to the massage dude, so apparently that isn't sufficient defence.

Perhaps he wanted to find out if your last name had a hidden meaning?

Haha... "It" stayed short... and didn't move livluvlaf. Hetero status was confirmed.

He was a good looking guy, but my guess is that he was considerably hairier than my usual MPAs at SRM!

You should play on with your co-worker ... tell him you really enjoyed the Active Release and see what he says or does, then you will know if he is really gay.

No thanks. I don't really care if he's gay, bi or all of the above. I'm more concerned about how I am going to answer him when he asks how the massage was. Somehow "great, he really got rid of my stiffness" seems like the wrong thing to say!

I think you said yes
Well as tempting as it was... ;)

Honestly, he caught me off guard, since everything was very "normal" up to that point. I'm not at all homophobic, even enjoy the odd MFM now and again, but I just wasn't in the mood regardless. He did give a very good massage, but I'm not sure I'd go back.

Maybe your co-worker was never offered the extra; maybe the massage dude just found you more attractive.
Never thought of that.... Let's see... I'm mid 50s, and flabby. The guy at work is about 32 and a jock....
