Trump is doing what he believes is best for his country and he campaigned on exactly what he is doing.
Trudeau's own party and NDP allies finally convinced him to step down after a decade of ruining Canada and when we need the Federal government most, he prorogues parliament rather than calling an election that everyone wants so we can move forward. We need a strong leader and government.
That's the difference and why Trudeau is being called out here.

Its about a myriad of things, fentanyl is an important one though. The amount of the drug crossing the border from Canada (mostly BC) into the US has increased substantially in the past several years. Also the open borders policy the Trudeau administration operated with since 2020 has a lot to do with it as well. The tariffs are a strategic move to get Canada to move to a) put more resources into border security; b) put more resources into national defense; c) renegotiate the CUSMA and d) to trigger regime change in Canada.
