Finally.

After more than a year of a below par offensive line the Steelers are finally exposed for what they are.

A team that has no identity. Can't run, can't defend and can't protect a statue of a quarterback. They lost against the Raiders, the Chiefs and the Browns. Wow. Never seen a Superbowl champ turn into such a garbage team so fast.

So much for raining hell in December.

Yep!

Best they can do is 9-7....and they have the Saints coming up!

I watched in disbelief tonight at just how far this team has fallen.
They don't tackle, they don't cover, and now they play like they don't care.
Makes me pretty happy to see it actually.

Ive noticed that last few years that TACKLING is pathetic in ALL LEAGUES whether it be CFL NFL NCAA etc. You cant bring a guy down by grabbing his shoulders or high on the body. I watched a guy throw a great BODY CHECK in a football game last week and missed the guy ALLTOGETHER!!!

If you wrap a guy up from the waist hips down he will go down. I also see too many guys trying to strip the ball out than tackle! WTF?

No trust in Big Ben by anyone anymore.
Tomlin lost this team but I don't know how.
The locker room must be a nightmare right now.

I don't think Tomlin became a bad coach overnight. He can't really control all of the bad tackling, dropped passes, etc.
I do see him as somewhat responsible for attitude. However, Ben being a statue and taking all those sacks last night is out of Tomlin's hands.

First defender to the ball carrier must make the tackle, the second and third guys can go for the strip.

I do not like the Steelers and I am very happy with the results over the last four or five weeks.

I don't even have to look at their schedule and i know they are not playing the Saints. AFC teams play against all the teams in one division of the NFC and the Saints played the AFC East this year so no way could they be playing Pittsburgh.

Opps, you are correct....I should have said the Ravens coming up. The also have the Packers & Dolphins too. No matter, at 9-7 they are done!

9-7, are you kidding? They're more likely to be 6-10 at the final bell.

It doesn't matter how "big" Ben is if he is going to get knocked down & around as much he has been lately.

But this the law of averages at its best.

Last season they pulled way too many games out of their ass at the last minute including the Super Bowl and now there luck has run out.

Everyone says that the loss of Polamalu has been the reason for their demise. The reasoning being is that he is such a motivator & inspiration to the other players. But isn't he still there on the sideline for every game ??

What does this say about the character and talent of the other 10 men on the Steelers defence if the loss of 1 person can have that much of an effect ??

It is the difference between just being a "rah, rah" guy on the sideline and being the 'rah, rah' guy then going on to the field and leading by example.

True enough.

So then how do you explain the effect that coaches are supposed to have on their players level of performance and yet they never set foot on the field ??

this perplexes even the most qualified and educated of the sport psychologists and definitely defies the logic of the best GM's time and time again in many sports...

do you think we can find a definitive answer here?

WOW ! Now there is a subject we could go on about for days and never get anywhere.

Although they may not have made it to the top level, NHL, NFL, etc, you will find that all coaches have played the game and probably got as high as minor pro.
