Heard on the radio this morning that the construction company building the condo in question suffered impact costs of $60,000.00.

That does not include rescue costs and indeed the site was shut down for the day while the MOL and police investigated.

As amazing as her stunt was, costs are real. But as they say, you can't get blood from a stone.

The LiUNA rate for trades can vary a bit. LiUNA being the largest construction union in Toronto at about 50,000 members strong. ("Feel the Power" (their stupid slogan, not mine)). But it's more than $40.00 / hour. $40 an hour would be their base salary (depending on agreement I grant you.). Add in $8.40 per hour for pension, 4 and change per hour for vacation pay, another 4 to 5 for benefits and so on and so forth and you're up to about $70 ish per hour. Then add in the cost of their gear, the cost of giving them a truck to get to the site, you name it, they are entitled to it, the cost for the company's overhead, profit, etc. Trust me, you're at $90 to $100.00 per hour easily. Depending on the site, it's usually a 10 hour day as well.
I checked for a cement finisher in Toronto (rounded to nearest dollar). $62 per hour all costs AT REGULAR HOURLY RATES: $87 per hour COST for overtime; $112 per hour COST, if double-time. Labourers will be a tad less. Operating engineers could be more, etc. etc.

she was put in handcuffs when she was brought down, and then held OVERNIGHT for bail for a mischief charge. after getting no sleep the night before because she was stranded on a crane that caused no one else potential harm but herself.

meanwhile, a cop in ottawa kills someone, and gets released from the station: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/montsion-siu-abdi-manslaughter-1.4013618

so no, i would not say she is getting off easy. $500 bail is normal for minor offences like mischief for someone with no priors.
I'm sorry but she got off easy. She got the minimum charge for a lot of mischief. It's not like she kicked a garbage can onto the street or smashed a bus shelter's windows.

No potential harm to anyone else? How about firefighters involved in her rescue over her outrageous prank?

That's a lot of community work if you ask me.
