I've been off and on Seeking since 2015. I found Sugaring one night after I realized I preferred a more FWB/Casual Dating dynamic vs escorts.


Some of the pros of sugar(at least in the US since escorting is illegal) - Sugar was and still is a legal grey area, at long as you keep your communication on point it would be hard to prosecute for sex crimes. Low volume, sugar babies typically only have time for one relationship so more likely than not you'll get exclusivity. Absolutely no clock watching, if they clock watch then they're not a sugar baby. The typical sugar date for me lasts anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, date+intimacy at typically the same rates as escorts.

Cons: Time investment is waaaaaaaaaaaaay to much compared to setting up an appt with an escort. If I didn't have ADD I don't think I could keep up with the amount of effort that's required to generate a potential sugar match. This alone is enough to question is the pros I listed above is worth it or not. Especially in Canada. Then if you don't follow a specific protocol when setting up a new relationship then you "could" get scammed out of a few hundred but if you do your due diligence then this will never happen.

Classic Crypto scam. Establish a connection with your mark, usually via whatsapp. Multiple texts and photos but never in town to meet. Somewhere in the conversation she will ask for a favour usually some issue with her crypto account, or a variation of it . All you need to do is open your own account. The brokerage is a scam designed to siphon your cash.

Unless you're brutally ugly (I doubt it) and from that she could instantly decide if you are a yes/no at first meeting, isn't sharing the meal/discussion with you supposed to help her decide if you two are in any way compatible beyond looks? you kinda have to be firm on insisting that first meet is only drinks or coffee. If they want dinner they should be okay with a video call prior to meet. My current position on this is: I am not sitting for an hour long dinner with a complete stranger just based on her filtered pics.

PS - I have been asked to bring $300 to dinner too it was explained to me that this would be for the privilege to be seen with "a young lady" and "to make sure you are not wasting her time". You have to protect yourself and be able to establish boundaries much like women establish theirs.
