I have heard of a couple of MPs doing this. 10th visit door fee is waived. Don't know how successful it was. As for SPs... I doubt it very much any would.

Not so silly!

At my favourite massage parlour here in Aus, 9 hours of massage and you get half an hour for free. Its called the "Frequent rubbers program" And they give away 3 or 4 free half hours a month through a website, and competitions etc. You can get T-shirts, stickers, caps etc... Needless to say I have had many a free half hour with this fine establishment.

It does sound like a stupid idea, but if agencies offered this, say 10 hours and half an hour free, the cost to them would be negligible, and it would guarantee return custom! Like I said, I have only every seen it at an MP, but the concept is the same. The MP I go to is $155 per hour, or $85 per half, so its worth the effort to return!

How about a bulk purchase? You could prepay for 10 visits and qualify for a 15% discount? It certainly works for health clubs, gyms, and the Price Club.

I think that a number of independents probably do something similar. Myself, I simply cut the rate, quite drastically sometimes. Like Kiarra said, it is often tailored to the individual. If I know I can count on seeing someone every couple of weeks, and I enjoy his company and want to encourage as much of it as possible, then the cuts can be quite drastic.
