I was wondering 2 things:

1. Is 43 Tall the same as 42 large (as I seen tags in Europe)??

2. How much does a decent Hugo Boss Suit or Christian Dior Suit run in Toronto and where could I get it from...looking for a versitle style from a legit source. I am asking because I saw a suit in Spain a few days ago (Boss) for about $500cdn...2 pcs, single breasted, black, orange label. Not sure if that was a good price or should get one from Toronto.

#1 - no they are different.

#2 - Depends on where you go and when you go. Tom's place always has a sale on HG and you can still bargain. Harry's sales usually happen in early May and November. But you can check ou the outlet in Mississauga to see if they have any in stock. Korry's on the Danforth carries them as well. Call them up and do some price comparisons, or better yet visit the stores. BTW ... $500cdn is a steal for a suit ... they usually start at $850 at Harry's and a little less if you buy 2 or more from Korry's or Tom's.

When I used to wear suits to work, I used to go to Montreal in December and June when they had their sales and bought my Boss suits from there.

At that time, I was getting them for 50% off, so around $400. The store was on St Catherines, called Mens I think.

I think the orange label is Hugo as opposed to Hugo Boss and is supposed to be a younger, hipper style..

Oh, btw, if you really want to get a good deal on Boss, go to Cleveland. I am serious. They have a factory outlet over there. Suits from $350 US.

nice...where in Cleveland? address please!
I think he's referring to the Outlet malls at Cleveland, Ohio. 4hr drive via Buffalo or 50 min flight from T.O.
Their styles are behind T.O. but cheaper as its mid-west and no state tax on clothing.

Learn from EU

Uzo, absolutely, we can learn a few things from EU. It's cheaper to travel within EU than stay in Canada. With Ryanair & Eastjet, not to mention competition from Eurostar, weekend in those EU cities are so affordable and convenient.

asn is right. Unless you buy from Outlets with tags cut-off, sometimes end-of-line or 2nds, it's a steal vs. NA and Asia.

I'm a causal guy myself but around few with expensive taste. Aside, almosts got turn away at Claridge for high-tea as I didn't have a men's jacket. (Damn funny, as my sports coat, aka outdoor adventure clothing, retails more than typical jacket - ha ha).

Beware of imitations, especially in Italy. Schools devote to 'the art of' imitation. It's becoming mainstream, consider mastery. So funny with street vendors selling knock-offs handbags, right outside of the brand name stores.
