Where are your favorite (child free if possible) vacation spots....Somewhere the dammed cell phone won't ring...good dining..great beach..and nice hotels?

Puerto Vallarta.....great bars, great restaurants, and if you pick the right hotel, you're far enough from the malacon to miss the crowds but if you want the action, it's a 10 peso bus ride.....registrar1 said:

Pack up the backpack and into the wilderness for a week with the GPS and bare minimums. Catch fish, rabbits, do some hiking, swimming etc. Picture Survivor Man with a tent, compound bow, fishing rod, and some other useful stuff.

I don't quite go that far, just a cottage in a non-touristy area. The other thing I've done is just get in the car and drive until I find somewhere I want to stop.a 1 player said:

Ah, probably true save perhaps for the Keltic Lodge. However, there are other advantages such as the scenery. The Five Fishermen in Halifax is a decent Restaurant. A number of years ago, I saw someone's au pair (or I shudder to think daughter) out with the family and younger children there dressed in the most hookeresque outfit I've ever seen in public (short skirt, black stockings, garters a stretch of bare thigh)!Diode said:
