Saw that in a documentary. Can't remember the name but its the same guys who did that skate boarding documentary Dogtown and Z-boys. Great flick. That guy on the clip is rated the best big wave surfur in the world as you can see why.

I'd like to say it's Laird Hamilton but I can't tell. It's definately Hamilton's style, board and wave. He catches flack for not being pure anymore but I don't think anyone rides bigger waves than Laird Hamilton.
That being said, wicked to see the reef through that massive wave as it was caused to break. Banannas!

The movie is called "Riding Giants" I had an ex that was obsessed with that movie. it was kinda neat...mostly I liked the buff boys in the swimtrunks
