i think it was just as exciting as all other survivors....
Although Survivor has never been quite as entertaining as when it first started (Borneo and Australia), I thought this installment was as interesting as one could expect. The concept is not so novel anymore, so of course, it is harder for viewers to be as interested as when it was a brand new show.
I agree with danmand, the others should have mounted a revolt against Rob and Amber while they still had numbers, but I think the problem was that every single one of them thought that had some kind of alliance with Rob. But it should have been clear to each and every one of them that aligning with Rob and Amber was, at best, going to guarantee you a third place finish, and that they should have taken control of their destiny by breaking their alliance.
As for Jenna, I agree she should not have betrayed Rupert and she should have tried to get Rob out. By aligning with Rob/Amber, the best she could do was third, unless she won the last immunity challenge, which of course, she didn't. Personally, I would have preferred to have taken my chances in an immunity challenge with Rupert, as opposed to Rob. Rupert is a great player, but have you ever seen a guy who is slower or who has poorer balance? Anyway, it is easy to say all this, when you watching in the comfort of your living room.
There was a lot of talk on last night's show about how Rob violated and broke friendships, which I think is a bunch of hogwash. Rich and Shii-Ann seemed to get that this is a freaking game, and lying and backstabbing is part of it. And as was rightly pointed out, Lex orchestrated the ousters of Colby, Ethan, and Jerri, but Lex said that was all 'business, nothing personal'. What a hypocrite.
I think Rob and Amber were a deserving final two. Rob clearly controlled the game from Day 1, and Amber deserves to win because she manipulated Rob.
