Hey,

I'm interested in getting a tat on my forearm, probably some kind of quote or saying. What I want to know is, how much would a tat of letter characters one inch wide and 8 inches long go for? and who is a reputable artist on the westend?

Thanks.

MMM not too sure of any reputable tattoo parlours in the West End, but I think you may be looking at 150-250 dollars

Make sure you find a place is clean, uses a firing oven on the equiptment, opens sterile needles in front of you and puts ink in little caps that they dispose of in the garbage at the end of your tattooing session.

Don't cheap out or mess around....HIV and Hep are out there...

See below for my body art.

A good place is Yonge Street Tattoos. They are pretty good price wise and extreamly clean. pm me for details.

I usually go to Tat-A-Rama on Bloor and Kipling. Eugene does nice work.

As far as the cost - it could be anywhere from 150-180 up to 2 or 3 hundered depending on exactly what you want.

How much do you think this tattoo would cost?

It'd go on the arm, between the shoulder and elbow. It would be about four inches in length and would be a red maple leaf with four black letters underneath it.

Before you really get Tatooed, make sure you really want it. Wait one year and if in one year you still want it, then get it.

Hi there!

Nice to hear you are taking the plunge into the world of ink - come on in the water is fine ;)

There are lots of shops in toronto and lots of artists to choose from. I myself have about 20hrs invested in my shoulder/arm piece and I am looking at getting more this winter. Everyone will have an opinion on where you should go and who should do it but let me tell you this: if you are going to wear it for the rest of your life, expect to pay the artist no less than $100 an hour. anything less than that and you are getting work from someone who just an average tattoo artist, don't you want something special and original?

Best of luck!
