Tax question

What is the GST and or PST implications of buying a slightly used car from the company (corporation) if you are a employee or if you are a owner-manager?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, or a reference to the information.

GST shouldn't apply... in Ontario, PST will for employees... owners will pay the tax too, but can apply for reimbursement (or at least they used to be able to) where they can give proof of the relationship between the company and the shareholder....

That's the "sworn statement" addendum... the application itself is (was?) 1181C... you'll need both.

Don't know if it's on the website... they have them at the MTO offices, though, so you can pick them up when you go there to transfer registration....
