Correct. It's fully programmable. Toyota cars can have this feature disabled also.

Automatic headlights drive me around the bend. Relying on technology to turn on your lights when you should know to turn them on yourself is the height of laziness. I always find they don't work when it rains and most drivers are oblivious to the fact that in those conditions their tail lights are not on because they figured the automatic headlights would take care of it.

Agreed. And headlights that don't go off when you turn off the ignition and lock the car are equally stupid. And it took almost a century for those brilliant engineers to fix that.
