Count me in as an alliance member under the so called weirdos by red. I've come to respect a few on here over the years. Mainly yourself, gipdeal, soft hands and Celticman. I am somewhat socially very liberal but fiscally very conservative. I try not to generally discuss non sp topics on here though as it is pointless fighting on the Internet. I also actively try not to comment on things I do not have a full handle on.

I also echo the sentiments expressed by a few on here. I think there is a chance of meeting very like minded individuals.
Brother weirdo!!!! welcome aboard, come get your badge of honour. I'd like to ditch that ceiling cat, too fucking lame for me.
I have most respect for guys w game; hobby a little, take some risk in life , make mistakes, have an open mind, get into the odd verbal joust, behave like men!

Well part of my decision to quit hobbying after my last few fantasies is that I don't think I need this anymore. The last two weekends, I've been able to exchange numbers with gorgeous women. Most of whom I have no intention of calling. I just find it a huge ego lift and a vindication of my skills. This is actually quite intoxicating to know that i can still do this. It's like that feeling "yeah, I still got it"... The working out like crazy lately is also paying off. Not sure why I waited so long to try to get back in shape. I also got really stressed out and confused by an sp which was neither pleasant nor helpful to either party.

sps are not really for me as i was always more interested in a mistress type thing... I think I will actually just try to salvage my real relationship and look for someone to fill in the gaps my gf cannot or is unwilling to fulfill.

Not sure about you yolo, but I am really not sure why my real life gf always feels a need to put me down, berate and make me feel like crap from morning to night. It's really confusing because she shows me flashes of actually loving me but her actions are clearly intentioned to "cut down" my ego. I imagine this is why other guys like yourself engage in this hobby from time to time. This crap treatment usually builds up to a critical point where I just end up seeing an sp to recharge my batteries and de-stress.
Sorry to hear, but if that's the case, it's time for a change, ASAP, or at least a dump and flush.

Well Hemi, i am currently unattached. When in a relationship I actually dont hobby. I feel for you though, even though Ive always bailed, i know all too well the stale feeling and the build up of tension ! Although I would never tolerate the morning to nite nonsense some guys accept. It seems to me that her job is to build up your ego, and your job to do the same for her.
When w a gf i pay close attention to her centres of influence; her mom, her sisters, her bff's , including her inevitable gay best friend ... because they ultimately seem to get more involved than necessary in our thing. My buddies never meddle in my business, but "she" always seems to get all sorts of unsolicited counsel !!!!

When not in a relationship I date about 2, 3 times a week. I will commit to a relationship only after at least a month of serious written correspondence ... in addition to spending time w a lady. I feel very strongly that a woman who can express herself is super attractive to me and at least then, there is a reasonable shot that THE number one relationship killer, communication, is possible with her.

I hobby out of curiosity and convenience. I will "go nuts" from time to time, go thru the Cupids roster sort of thing, and then there are times when I will focus in on one regular (like now I have a crazysexycool, as yet unreviewed ultra gem, who has basically decided to focus on me!! ) I also travel a lot, so i have fwb/ whatever you want to call them transactional arrangement in about a dozen cities around the world. So at the minute, the odds of me committing to a real reln'ship are very low ! Until i get the clock ticking / gotta have kids urge.

wouldn't be the only issue on which Fuji has all sides covered -- as his "clear" opinion .
I have one side covered. The side of democracy and human rights. In particular, I support democracies against non democracies, and oppose any move to make democracies less democratic, especially when it is done in the name of fighting terror.

Setting up a show trial that undermines the rule of law does not strike me as being the pro democracy viewpoint.

At the same time I strongly support attacks on foreign terrorists who seek to attack and destroy our institutions, or those of other democratic nations.

It just burns me when we destroy those institutions ourselves in the name of fighting them.

Since I am in favour of democracy itself, rather than simply being "pro Western", that has put me on opposite sides of the gitmo debate, or the situation in Egypt, relative to people who agree with me in opposing terrorism in places like Israel or Afghanistan.

In Afghanistan I also find myself strongly supporting intervention there while being deeply troubled by the way it has sometimes been done.

My position is consistent but principled rather than ideological or partisan.

Its good that you are paying close attention to how she makes you feel. No one, partner, business associate, TerB Poster, parents, should put you down and the problem is that you can only control how you respond to it, it is very rare to have the other person actually change (in my experience). I only hang out with people who elevate my life experience.

I actually think it would be interesting and potentially a lot of fun to meet some members in person one day.
Without exception, every single time I have met an "online friend" in the flesh, it was awkward. Sometimes just a little awkward, sometimes cripplingly awkward, but always awkward. I could only imagine how awkward it would be to meet someone whom I have gotten to know based on a shared interest in hobbying.

Can someone explain to me how the very bottom section of TERB works ... it s the "whats going on" and it lists a bunch of members TERBnames and indicates when they are on TERB. Is this list comprehensive? does it list everyone who is currently logged in? if not, why not? and how is it determined whose TERBname shows up or not?

You can opt out in the privacy settings on your account by setting it invisible.

Fuji is an interesting one. Mostly left wing except on Israel. So he's gotten into scraps with both sides.
Raising the distinct possibilty that such labelling is useless at best, if it's not a outright obstruction in any debate. Though the appearance of the label is a handy signal that the poster's got no argument worth putting forward.

I previously raised the question why the number of "guests" seem to outnumber "members" by a ratio of 4-5 to 1. Never got a rational answer.

P.S. Not sure there are any formal "alliances" but it does appear there are some "mutual admiration societies" and "cliques" on the Board. I once accidentally clicked on the profile of a certain member and noticed he had 10 million (hyperbole) "friends".

Maybe the board software counts those browsing with their privacy setting on "invisible" as a guest. Otherwise, there are hella lot of folks just lurking, reading reviews, and never contributin'.

It is an escort review board. It would make sense that there are lots of lurkers for every poster.
