TERB Message Limit

No offense to TERB, but does anyone else find the 20 message mailbox limit a little ridiculous? Every day I miss a few messages, because I'm at my limit and then have to waste more messages asking people to resend the messages I missed. These messages can't be more then 2K each so I don't see how this can be a drive space limitation. I like to save some messages. At least bump it up to 50!

I'm assuming you're a hobbyist.Did you know that you have the option of making a financial donation to TERB? In doing so you will receive more capacity in your PM box. ;)
I didn't know this, but appreciate the info. IMO, the advertisers and agencies should be paying these bills, not the hobbyists. I could send one message through most online forums that's larger then then my entire mailbox at TERB. Just a suggestion...

I feel exactly the same way when I want to read the Toronto Star. The advertiser's pay big buck's for advertising in the paper,I think they should give it to me free. :)
Advertisers pay big bucks because people subscribe to The Star believe it or not. Verified paid subscriptions is how they calculate their circulation. The higher the circulation the higher the ad rates.

As for the subject of PMs. Yes I also would like more then 20 and wish that the size limit would also be raised a tad. I am way to long winded for only 1000 characters. lol.

There is a another adult board that I have read on occasion, that has lowered the PM amount to a maximum of 5, I believe. That is, unless you make a financial contribution to the board.
This is definatly true. I know of which one you speak of. Five ha ha, but sooo true.

There is also one out there that will only let you make one post every three days. This one is also more focused on the sp's and not the connessieurs, but regardless will only allow 3 posts a day. I have currently been waiting 2 days to put another post as I forgot to add something to my first post. whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Que sera sera. I figure sometime tonight it will go through :)

Yes, the idea is : if you connect well with someone just swap email addresses so you can stay in touch without having to deal with the message restrictions.

This reminds me of a childs story in which there was a family of 5 living in a small one roomed house and they were always in conflict anyhow to make a long story short they started moving animals into the house more and more each day as they asked a wise man what to do. In the end they released all the animals and they never felt that the house was over crowed anymore.

Moral they learned to live with what they had and were in the end happy for it.

Yes, of course that makes perfect sense. I still have a small handful of clients though that will from time to time PM me here instead of e-mailing or calling me even though they do of course have all my contact info. Just as a very few I gave my cell phone number will sometimes call me on my cell when I am right here in my office in the middle of the day. What's that all about?

psssst... Fred if you want to bump me up to 50... I promise not to tell anyone

Out there; somewhere.

Connessieurs...I like that. Everytime I see hobbying or hobbiests I picture myself in the workshop running a piece of wood through the router or table saw.

To the question at hand. I don't receive/send many PMs but I have run out of room because my message is too long on a number of occasions. Always have to break it up into two or three.

Hobbiests, I mean Connessieurs paying the board, interesting idea, isn't there a board like that already? How are they doing?
