I flirt heavily with them on Twitter.

But seriously joining twitter, and following fellow local SP is a really good way to see who has the same personality as you and could be a good match
Thanks Malika!

Any other ladies have other ways of meeting SP's?

I went to the other board's party last Wednesday. It was awesome. I met one of my favourite ladies an hour before the party, had a very nice time with her, then we walked to the party together. I got to see and meet lots of women I had only heard about, I chatted with a lot of fellow hobbyers, and I even won a door prize--a free half hour with one of the ladies! Who cares about C36, no money will be changing hands there.

It was a bit of a trick for me to get to the party due to family and job situations, but it was worth it. If Terb puts a party on I will try just as hard to attend it.
An SP told me about it after-the-fact. Where was it?

Ok, then, what would it take to organize a party?

Let me be clear: I'm not volunteering. But let's see if we can build a profile.

A Terb member who is either "out" as a hobbyist or otherwise doesn't care. Has the time and resources to reserve a venue for an evening. I would assume a cover charge could be put in for the organizer to recoup costs. And then it's just a matter of a concerted effort to get as many people from Terb to show up as possible, to make it happen.

*I* can't do it. I couldn't organize it from the States. But for all the talk of some people on this board (not meant as a challenge: just an observation), there should be *someone* with the financial resources to throw, what (total wild assed guess), $1k or so at a venue and make things happen. Charge $20/head and if more than 50 Terbites show up you'll come out ahead. If you're worried about losing money, set up a PayPal account or something and offer a discount of $15/head for pre-purchase, and the organizer should be good to go. Talk it over with the Terb overlord(s) for a small kickback/free admission and it can be an official Terb party with announcements and everything. If you're willing to take on a little more risk, there has to be a way to serve alcohol at this thing (I don't know Canadian liquor laws and if the organizer would have to get licensed or whatever) to make a little more money.

I'm subscribed to the "Special Events" board here. Damned if there's ever anything except the occasional advertisement for one thing or the other, but nothing I would consider truly a "special event". Even the MP parties aren't announced on there.

It can't be all that difficult, and I imagine the profit potential is fairly high as well as being a lot of fun.

Somebody get off their ass and make it happen. And I'll only charge a single free admission and two free drinks for my business consultant work, here.

Just as we constantly see recurring threads about STD concerns, SP's not seeing black guys, possibility of relationships between johns and IG's etc. every year we see how many people are gung ho for a party and every year it never happens.

So close and yet so far.

Karaoke Lounge on Yonge Street south of Gerrard, right above the Swiss Chalet.

Food was plentiful, first drink was free. There's a bar there so you could drink all you wanted to. It was a great time. The men had to buy a $25 Keg gift card for admission, and they were distributed to all the ladies in attendance. And I won a door prize so I came out far ahead!

I'd go to one of these...though I'm impossibly shy and would probably dork out pretty hard.

Your place!!
The organization can be a nightmare. Finding a suitable venue, having people say they will come and then don't show. It takes a lot of work.
