So how many of you've traveled to Thailand or South East Asia and have had great experience hobby or regular dating related experiences to share?

I came back from my first trip to Thailand. It was amazing. I had chatted up with few regular local women online before heading there. We talked like normal guy and girl interested in each other and dating, no dirty talk, nor exchange of nude pics etc weeks prior to my arrival. Long story short. yeah, I talked to many Thai girls through regular dating apps like Tinder, OkCupid, PlentyofFish. Just switch your location to Thailand to match with local Thai women. One advice to get lucky with these regular girls is avoid being one of those thousands of creepy men out there on dating apps spamming them nudes, asking them for their nudes, sex talk etc. Treat and talk to them like you're interested in them for a serious long term relation and I bet you will get lucky and have high mileage with each one of them. I couldn't meet up with another half dozen women I had planned to in Thailand alone. In the end, it got exhausting travelling to many places so I decided to spend most my time in Bangkok with 4 women. As LKD said, you just interact with them politely the way you would with any other women, and you'd be surprised at how often they get "more friendly" with you. Thais seem to have a more relaxed attitude about casual sex than we North Americans. They even have their own nickname for a fuck buddy. Gik (sounds like geek).

Totally agree. Thai people are very friendly. Most women I came across were educated with a bachelors, some masters and even Phd. Thailand often gets a bad rep as a land of sex, prostitutes, drunken parties etc. I have to admit I was very surprised how open and casual to sex regular women were. The ones I met took me to temples to pray, make offerings during the day etc. I was almost certain I wasn't getting any action with these women until marriage or so but they all proved me wrong. haha It doesn't mean they will fuck around with anyone. Have to agree with you. After a while, meeting working girls with zero emotions can get repetitive. It ain't fun for me anymore. Thought of moving to Thailand. Philippines is a bit too third world for me although it's nice to have the English work there.

However
1: It's hot as fuck, I mean 40 degrees. Once I felt faint on in downtown Montreal while waiting 10 minutes outside, I'd die in 40 degree temp. Two of the girls at the local Thai restraunt also say it's brutal hot at times.
2: Pollution. Even outside of the north during smoke season, it's still pretty bad.
1A2A: If I went coming back to avoid the heat and smoke seasons is a bit beyond my income range.
3: They tax all money brought into the country, this seems to be a recent change and nobody seems to know anything about how it is supposed to work, opinions are all over the place, at least in the Philippines they don't tax over seas income. Hell I'd pay less taxes in Canada than Thailand by a wide margin thanks to the dividend tax credit, the capital gains rate and the TFSA.
4: Immigration is supposed to be a pain in the ass to deal with, even with a retirement visa.
5: That language is like nails on a chalkboard. It seems as you go from Japan to Korean to Mando to Canto to Nam and Thailand the language goes from being nice on the ears to horrible.
6: If I move, I won't be able to come back with the way rents and housing prices keep going up. I can stay in my home here, but if I sold and bought back I figure I'd be having to spend a lot more... maybe not but it's a risk, so it would have to be a one way trip.
7: I can still afford coitus 4 times a month while living here, there, 3 or 4 times a week, assuming investments go well. if they go bad, I could hobby more here, but I am in my 50's and have other hobbies and interests so...
8: If I really wanted a thai girl, the folks at the local Thai restraint could probably hook me up.

I just got back from 5 weeks in Thailand Laos Vietnam and Cambodia. what an amazing trip. the ladies are so sweet. Food is out of the world. I did get a number of legit massages, maybe 10.00 and hour . Thai massage is brutal. Those ladies walking on my back and legs. sure felt nice. I Think I liked Vietnam the best. I agrees you can talk to any lady there without being made to feel like a creep. they know how to live, such a food culture too.

BTW no foreigner is allowed to own property. You have marry a local person, and a year later you will loose the property.

I have absolutely 0 desire of owning property, nor having kids. Cats sure, but my life expectancy precludes being owned by a feline overlord for up to 20 years.
I'd double plus never own a business in Thailand or similar places. Too much risk, outsider, don't know the ins and outs.
I am aware of the property thing, although IIRC you can buy a condo, but I've seen people there recommend against it. And buying a property for your wife... a sign said person didn't do their due diligence.
