Ah, Ickabod, you refer to the "pathetic conservative mantra", but the vast majority of you misrepresent the so-called "conservative" view. And in reaction to a so-called vacuous argument you've offered us a vacuous argument -- how typical. Please define for us what you mean by conservative. The reason I ask is, I'm a true liberal (classical liberal) and wish "liberals" would stop calling themselves liberal and identify themselves honestly as socialists.

...............I find that 90% of the anti-American crap on this board is "cut-and-paste" from left and liberal websites or news organizations who have an agenda. The self proclaimed experts here who drone on and on about how evil we are do not have the intelligence required to formulate an original opinion based upon factual data.

The looney left is about dogma. Everything is filtered through their views and facts are thrown out if they don't support that. Unfortunately the looney right operates the same way.

If people would put aside there prejudices and preconceived ideas when they form an opinion we would all be better off. Judge facts and information on it's own merit.

As far as the US being attacked there is a large segment of people in the Muslim countries who view everyone else as infidels and the enemy. They are very intolerant of non Muslims in their region of the world. The US supports Isreal. They don't care that the US is the most benevolent super power in recorded history. They also don't care that the US is a free and open society. In fact they resent it.

Well said puckinbuff/muffin muncher. While it was a horrible day for all both countries showed the solidarity of the human spirit in their response to the attack. Whichj is why I am proud to call Canada America's friend. Just one thing kick the liberals out please and put in the alliance. Also shut down the Toronto Star and Globe and Mail. Cheers.

Frankly, i've had it up to hear with the pathetic conservative mantra put forth by Mr Muncher that i, and people like me, hate America. If you want an argument that's devoid of original thought (not to mention common sense) that one heads the list.

Icky, I think you mean up to "here", but I digress.

I reported my observations on this board, and that my friend is factual. And I also clearly stated that you are invited to criticize anything about the US, so long as you back it up with fact (and not your interpretation of fact).

I only ask that you have an informed opinion, and avoid innane repetitious generalizations such as the "rebuttal" quoted above. Its the intellectual equivalent of "my Dad can beat up your Dad".
