This Jays manger needs a kick in the ass out the door. Santander and Springer are not producing rbi’s but they are hitting 3 and 4 wasting opportunities. Shake up the order here

Schneider has completely fallen in love with Santander batting in the 3 spot. Now he is doubling down on it. The batting order needs a make over and a new set of eyes

Santander 0 for 4 today
Left 2 on in the 1st inning today
Left 2 on in the 8th
Batting .187
Yet he’s in the 3 spot every day
Makes no sense

Santander needs to hit 6 or 7 maybe he'll come around hitting lower in the line-up.

Cody Bellinger watch now that we have passed the quarter way mark.
.229, OPS .688
OPS+ of 94
on pace for 18 HR's.

Not sure how management is still around after last year and all their mistakes. But at least they didn't give this guy a 5+ year deal in the winter of 2023. Would have been a disaster.
Through May 15:

Cody Bellinger: 21 runs scored, 21 RBIs, 5 HR
Vlad Guerrero: 24 runs scored, 20 RBIs, 5 HR.

Since there is no longer a Yankee thread I posted this item here. I laughed so hard when I saw this on the nightly sports report.

We don't forget...Having said that all of the Yankees off season acquisitions have met or exceeded expectations thus far. So it looks like the Yankees ended up okay.

Soto and Judge back to back for the next five years or so would have been awesome though...We can only dream I guess.

Back to the Jays...They just can't hit any home runs...https://www.mlb.com/stats/team

Cody Bellinger reads TERB and I motivated him. He went on a heater the next 5 games. (10-19, ,526 AVG, 3HR's)
So he got back to .800 OPS.

The Blue Jays sweep the Padres with an 11 inning 7-6 win. Hoffman hasn't been the best lately.

Hoffman started the year very well but has blown 3 of his past 6 save chances. And now sports a 6.10 ERA. Hopefully a blip in the radar.
The good new is the Jays are over .500 and they've started hitting.
The bad news is they have played 28 home games and only 21 road games.

The bad news is

1 Vlad and Sandman are not hitting homers and will not have a great season

2 We have not got depth in pitching and that is where most injuries occurr. We cannot even replace our fifth starter

3 The central division is now the best division and is where one, probably both WC
will come from so we have to win our division

4 Worse news of all is management will be buyers instead of sellers at deadline
so we have no future as our farm system is one of the weakest

Blue Jays need to steal away Tampa's management team. They always seem to find diamonds in the rough.
