... since they're paying him what they are now, I would say just screw it and do whatever possible to have him batting third and Santander fourth.

Solid pitching and defensive and a 3 run homer wins a lot of games and that was the plan

Sandman and Vlad will hit homers but after 25 games with 3 homers

162 divided by 25 times 3 = 19.44 home runs over the full year between our three offensive stars.
They will improve but it is too late to produce like expected and without homers we have a
a very low scoring team that is boring to watch.

It may be too late to get back those games we were supposed to win
even if they start hitting homeruns

If we compete it is gonna be with a narrow margin of a few games
and those games may be already lost

Team is 29 th out of 30 in homers if this doesn't change expect a drop from a decent start.
I wonder who's worse than us

As a Yankee fan I'm very happy with todays results...We're winning games but the team has a lot of holes in it.

Judge has been phenomenal I must say.

Blue Jays have better pitching than what we saw today. Their lack of power is perplexing. If that doesn't turn around it's going to be a long season in the American League East.

Yanks have had serious injuries Jays have none so no excuses

The lack of power is not perplexing to me

We have 2 homerun hitters

Santander had 44 last year but 30 is closer to his abilities and he is a slow starter
and his batting average is a handicap

Vlad is a homerun hitter but it is BS that he is a superstar homerun hitter
and goes through empty streaks like Santander

A realistic expectation was 50 to 65 homeruns between the two but now I downgrade
that to 30 to 40

The problem with the Jays is bad executives

We have tremendously overpaid two homerun hitters and depleted our farm system
for a 500 ball club

We have no past, no present and no future under this regime but no gets it

Vlad had worse start last season and finished with 30hrs. He's going to finish in hat 25-30 range as he usually does wait for the weather to warm up.
