The best and worst of the new fall line up on tv.

The new fall line up has started to show on the small screen and it's mixed bag, some have a good chance of lasting into the new year, while others all hopefully die early.The comedies are the worst crop in years with only one new onethat has legs, story and that's Mom. The others so far, Dads, Brooklyn 99, the Goldbergs (a redo the the 70's show) can't die soon enough.


Of the drama/cop shows, Sleepy Hollow, King and Maxwell should last through writing and good acting and joining returning shows like Franklin and Bash, Copper, Elementary (now taking place in England), Rizzoli & Isles, Blackstone and Cracked. Some that have returned unfortunately are all the NCIS series, Person of Interest and Hawaii 50.

I know I've missed a few, but I'm sure members will add to it and even disagree with my thoughts.

Watched the new Michael J Fox show last night, I really wanted to like it but didn't. Only the first episode so maybe it'll get better.

It's difficult for new shows to hook you in, but "The Blacklist" did it for me, gripping from start to end, this one should make it to the end of season 1.

"Dads" is terrible, I was expecting MUCH more from a show with Seth Green and Giovanni Ribisi in the cast, I've already abandoned it.

I'm on the fence with "Brooklyn nine nine", Andy Samberg is pretty annoying in it but I like the girl who plays Santiago, she's so hot and she's keeping me watching for now.

"Hostages" is good so far, I'm a big fan of Toni Collette.

Haven't gotten to "Trophy Wife" yet but it should be good. Looking forward to "Super Fun Night", Rebel Wilson is really funny. Going to download "Masters of Sex" to check it out, it's only on Showtime, I've always liked Lizzy Caplan.

That's something I thought I would never hear, someone looking forward to this show. I wish I could stop watching City as they play that stupid commercial at least 10 times a day. If that is the best this show has to offer, then I predict 2 episodes.

It had to have a finish some day, Lincoln dies, Civil War ends, even the part of NY known as Five Points eventually disappeared. So what's being broadcasted now is the last one, Not many series last more than two or three seasons.

Blacklist seems good, but can't see it go much past two or three seasons.It really depends on the writers and the cast appears solid.

Anna Faris is a very talented comic, Mom should do well.

As for Masters of Sex, the transformation of Lizzy Caplan is shocking. She looked like Rebel Wilson when she made Mean Girls, she looks like a young Lorraine Bracco now.

Pilot of Masters of Sex was fantastic. Really really well done. It's available on VOD ahead of the scheduled premiere date. Lizzy Caplan was fantastic and I think this might be a breakout role for her. She's been seriously underrated. The Blacklist sucked me in too, lots of twists and turns, as did Sleepy Hollow although that one to a lesser degree. I hope they all get the ratings they deserve.
It's all about entertainment for me and those three delivered.

Loved the Blacklist. Missed James Spader (please somehow write William Shatner into an episode just to see these 2 together again lol).

I enjoyed Hostages too but I'm just not sure how this turns into a series. Is she supposed to still kill the President and they are going to keep her family hostage all that time? She didn't do it, and the bad guys didn't follow through. Now what? Sounded like a great movie idea though. Will watch again.

Was all stoked when 'Sleepy Hollow' opened and closed last week with 'Sympathy For The Devil',but I didn't hear it at all this week.So no reason to continue watching.
Cagney & Lacey II was good the first season,but if it was cancelled,what the hell are these new shows I haven't seen that are on Showcase Canada now each week?
Actually real disappointed with 'Blacklist'.
There's a new show out that I can't put a name to right now,but I'll watch it because the trailer features The Animals 'House Of The Rising Sun'.
Of corse 'Elementary','Castle' & 'Bones' are back!

I really enjoyed Brooklyn Nine-Nine, actually. And maybe it was a slow night, but I actually thought the Mom premiere was pretty good, in a CBS sitcom cliche kind of way.
