The last time I went to a strip club was 2013.
That is also when I discovered escorts.
Strip clubs while it may cater to a particular set of clients and some people may like them, are objectively, a total waste of money.
It costs more to get a HJ at a strip club for 15 mins, than to book a provider for FS for an hour.
There are also hygiene issues at strip clubs.
Then you'd have to put up with the door guy, the door free, everyone expecting tips including waitresses, drink minimums etc.,
The entire thing is one big hustle to rinse your wallet.
So why would I bother with that game when I can book sexy time with ladies so easily, especially in these times with affordability issues?
Exactly!! I mean, I've danced out west and here. Out west is Vegas style. You're on a payroll, expected to have 5 piece costumes, and guys sit on their hands for dances, spending their oil money for the 'chase' that they might get to hang with you after your shift. When I danced here, guys always asked for extras in the back room, and let's just say, certain fluids tend to glow in the black light, and, there weren't exactly trash cans sitting there in the VIP. You'd be lucky if there was one shower at the club in case you had an intense stage show.

Read the reviews of Zanzibar:

"Stay away, the girls would swindle you. It is $20 for one time fee for private then $20 per song but after 10 minutes, they asked for $120."

"I wouldn’t even recommend this establishment to my worst enemies. I was here not too long ago with a buddy of mine and we were literally forced to pay 2000 dollars for a 20 minute lap dance. "

"This place is a TOTAL SCAM. DO NOT GO THERE. A friend of mine was charged over 1000$ for a 20 minute private dance and 2 drinks. "

Maybe there's a reason strip clubs are disappearing.
Yeah, I worked there for about two days, and quit abruptly. Holes in the floors, which were tripping hazards for anyone, let alone dancers in 8 inch heels. Was really pressured to do all kinds of extras by the patrons. I've always said, if you want to dance, simply dance, if you want to do more, go work at a spa or be independent. Otherwise, some real reform to make it like the fusion clubs in Germany and the like.

okay..for any of the west end old goats...anyone remember Jerry,s Place on Kipling Ave...just north of the Queensway?...later became The Kipling Steakhouse and Tavern under new ownership and later johnny the new owner was killed in a robbery attempt at the Club
Sounds like some seedy vibes!! I actually witnessed a stabbing outside one of the Edmonton clubs when I worked out there. This is why we weren't allowed to play hip-hop music on our stage sets. Apparently it attracted the 'wrong crowd.'

There was a time when I used to "live" in strip clubs on weekends. Made good friends with many of the dancers as well as the bartenders and waitresses. That was my way to indulge at looking at the many strippers as they stripped and bonus points if they could actually dance and put on a 3-song show. Most couldn't but there were always a few that could and often. including the other strippers, would watch their entire stage show. But with time that ended and most girls just put in their stage time and are happy to get it done. Over the years I just went less often and rarely go anymore and replaced all of that with seeing SPs instead. Strip clubs are slowly dying and IMO that would be sad but in this day and age it doesn't surprise me.

Soon it will be Tesla robots on the pole. I've already been approached to turn myself into AI for WebCam...

If your old enough to remember ( and partisapate ) when strip joints were in there glory, there were no massage spa's, online was a thing of the future. Strip joint was the thing, I also remember when Young St. Was wild with everything from paint a girl, nude dancing and strip joints until the big clean up
That would've been insane to witness!

now a days The Queensway between Royal York and Kipling is full of Condos, on both sides...for most of my life i,ve been a South Etobicoke guy.....seen all the changes over the years and been to all those Strip Joints from years past, that no longer exist......
Jerry,s Place
The Kipling Steakhouse
I Donknows..an outside mall now
The Eastwood Tavern on Lakeshore at Browns Line..long gone
A place on Evans just east of Browns Line..forgot the name..a pure dump lol..a couple of the strippers "moonlighted" as street walkers on the Lakeshore motel strip, again now the site of tall Condos
The infamous House of Lancaster..Queensway and Royal York..the site is now a Condo
And there was a place on Queensway a mile or so east of The East Mall on the south side..forgot the name..now is a Youth drop in center i think
No way! I thought Lancaster was still going?!

lol...the "riskiest"song way back when was a disco tune by Donna Sommer called Bad Girls..lol
now im in a nostalgic mood...some great times...managed to see a French girl from the House of Lancaster..asked her if she wanted to meet for breakfast the next morning....if ya dont ask . you won,t get..lol..she said yes.. a restaurant near the "Lang"...got there and was pleasantly surprised that she showed up...got to talking and then walked to a Motel nearby..got an hour,s worth of dances, lots of touchy feely stuff but no sex or BJ..i was happy with that...cost me a few bucks but it was worth it
Picked up a dancer from the "Kip', named Doris....spent a few of times with her there and she danced at The Eastwood , so i went there...couple of times for lunch, a private show at her place a couple of times..but no hanky panky..i knew that going in, so no misunderstandings or false promises....she moved on a few months later...never saw her again...a real sweetheart....even now i think of her from time to time....now she would be close to a pensioner .lol....thats how long ago it was .....

Started going in the early 2000s and had great memories. Remember when people could smoke indoors and you'd be reeking of cigarettes smoke. :ROFLMAO:

Or asking for extras could get you kicked out. How times have changed.

I still like the basic concept of SC, but they haven't evolved over the years. I'm surprised private parties or underground clubs aren't a thing.

I keep wondering what will happen if/when AI basically kills the online jobs for porn and only fans. Will live service become a thing again?
Ha, I was speculating about that a couple weeks ago in a different thread. I think the supply side will indeed increase, but the big question mark is demand. Newer generations seem more content to sit behind a screen than make the trek out to a club.

Big question. But I think some very hard times are coming and there is going to be a backlash against technology.

It was a wild scene in those days, I was a carpender and I remember building massage rooms, with one way mirrors in the door, one job we built booths with little porn movies playing in them, guys would sit in there and jerk off...everything was available
