Your political analysis defies both logic and common sense.

from your perspective it does.....given the history of the Democratic partie it doesn't..I don't think the Democrats have ever been under such a heavy Euro socialist influence.
The likes of moveon.org and dailykos are nothing but extensions of the old socialist guard created in the 60's...same animal..different stripes.

I don't know about hijacked but they are a lot more vocal then they were for the past 20 years. I have a feeling that they will be the equivilent of the Bornagains in the republican party; loud, obnoxious, and vocal but not really changing anything.

I hope you are right, because if the Democrats let the socialist fringe dictate their plattform, then that would be their death.

the Neocons will be gone when Giulani takes over....and as for the Dem's, well, they call Bush a moron, an idiot, a fool, but they couldn't defeat him in two elections. What does THAT say about Democratic party strategy?

The elephant is the symbol of the GOP, not the Dems.

The left is rising in the Democratic party - they felt sold out by Bubba (NAFTA, Welfare Reform, Don't ask/don't tell, defense of marriage act....) and want a real liberal (actually they're too scared to use liberal so they use progressive) candidate. They are also raising money in a big way (Democracy Alliance).

I would look for the far left in the Democratic party to become more vocal and powerful in the future, which will be hard for a faux third way candidate like Billary.

I agree. Clinton played to the center and adopted GOP policies
when necessary [welfare reform, deregulation]. Now that the
left is pushing the agenda the tensions between the two parties
will accelerate.

I used to say Clinton was the best Dem POTUS the GOP could
hope for. Too bad they impeached him. It resulted in
unnecessary hostility.

Hillary may be the best hope for Wall Street if she wins.
I'll bet she plays to the middle if she's elected. You may
think she's a bxxxh, but she may be a civil one if she goes
centrist.
I fear she's not as pragmatic as her husband, the socialized medicine debacle from Bubba's first term scares me. She will be beholded to the radical left that is now the money in the DNC.

With a few exceptions I never minded Bubba's policies, just the sleeze that followed him out of AR.... read my thread, you get sex, money and arrogance....

The trouble is that Hillary has never been a centrist, she made that very clear in her book "It takes a village"..that book looked like a meditation on "Das Kapital"
