I mean, we could go on and on about how the Sens are a bunch of divers, and the Leafs are the dirtiest team in the league, and Lalime's a sieve, and the Leafs got lucky with Belfour in net, and how the Sens are stick artists, and how Nolan's hit on Spezza was dirty and he should be suspended, and how the Sens have been beaten by the Leafs in three straight playoff matches, and how the Leafs have been pasted by the Sens almost every time in the regular season, and how the Sens are gutless, and how the Sens still lead the league in Goals For, and blah blah blah blah .........

How 'bout we limit all of the nonsense to this one thread? That way, if nobody cares, they don't have to read it.

Call it a truce, if you will.

'Cause it's getting tiresome, and there's lots more good hockey (note, I said good *hockey*, not necessarily good *officiating*) going on. And not just in the NHL, mind you.

Now, I know some idiots from both sides are likely just to start rambling on at some point, raving like fools -- just ignore them and they'll go away.

I agree....That game was about as boring to watch as any. I am a sens fan but I like their whole team not just their powerplay unit. Powerplays are just not exciting especially 15 of them.

Just back from the game ... I must confess, I didn't realize the NHL had added a new minor penalty for "wearing a blue jersey" to the rule book since the last game I watched. Holy heck ...

Good game live, but both teams had a serious case of the dropsies. And Aki Berg? Oh, good lord Pat, tie his ass to the end of the bench. I fear for the worst every time he touches the puck, and he proves me right all too often.

The Leaf defense was playing like the puck was a hand grenade for large portions of the game tonight.
I couldn't believe most of those penalties on the Leafs in the first - turned the game into a very dull affair, and I usually *like* power plays - but there were just too many of the dang things.

Good game Saturday (I hear). I was AFTV (Away From Television) so I couldn't watch it.

Hope I can catch this Thursday's rematch. With the hitting and the slashing and the violence and the blood.....

Yeah, it was a rockin' game alright. I'm sure the Leafs enjoyed it. .... hehehe.
Martin was completely closed-mouthed on the injuries to Chara, Spezza, and Bonk. Looks like the Senators may be starting to suffer through some injury problems of their own. We'll see how *they* handle it. Meanwhile, Nieuwendyk's probably out, but Fitzgerald and Renberg should be back by Thursday, at least.
The whining from Ottawa's reaching *epic* proportions after that debacle. I hope the refs are prepared to hand the Leafs a half dozen power plays in the first on Thursday .....

By the way, I notice that most of the other Sens fans are strangely silent since the big loss. (Excepting very short, perfunctory posts to settle a bet in another thread.) One wonders, if they win on Thursday, if they'll suddenly find their voices ..... ? .... Odd that.

Ranger68: As I said in this thread, I was unable to watch the game on Saturday. I even missed the highlights, so all I know is what I've heard here at work and on TERB.

As such, I would find it unwise to write huge discourses about how the Leafs are assholes and the Sens are gods because I don't have the information required to write knowlegably about said game on Saturday night.
