You joking right, just being funny.
Not at all, it's a small cheap tablet with a good ecosystem of content. That's what nottyboi wanted....

Is there something that the Playbook can do that the Fire can't?

Well for one, with a BB, you can have data with the Playbook anywhere without hotspots.

strike one....

Accessing Content in the Amazon Cloud
Your content libraries -- like Books, Music, and Video -- include your content available in the Amazon Cloud, and the content you've already downloaded to your device. You can choose to access your content through the Cloud while your Kindle Fire is connected via Wi-Fi, or to download your content to your device for easy access even when your device isn't connected wirelessly.

Downloading and Transferring Content via USB
You can transfer a variety of content from a Windows or Mac computer to your Kindle Fire through a USB cable (sold separately), including music, videos, photos, and documents. When your Kindle Fire is plugged into your computer, it will appear as a removable mass-storage device.

You mean like this?

Or this?

Anyone with a iPhone or Android (and there are many) can do the same thing without hotspots.

Keep trying, fanboy.

BB Chose to do it via bluetooth, it uses less power and is more secure.
Did you not notice the bluetooth option on the iPhone screenshot?

At the end of the day who are you fooling? I suggest its you the appleton. You paid alot more and didn't get a lot more, infact pretty much nothing more. But you can be cool with your friends. (like they care)

* You is the royal YOU.

Wow you really want someone to answer such a troll question?
I'll answer you if you can honestly answer if you eat plastic apples that you see in displays because they look like apples? Come on be honest now.
Not a troll question at all, interesting, so far no one has been able to identify something the playbook can do that the fire cannot.... (Apple isn't part of this discussion, but thanks for sharing your knee jerk prejudices)

no one replied because they don't care, and you'd have to be completely daft to NOT realize the difference.
BTW I was talking about apples as in the FRUIT, not Apple Inc! - thanks for confirming where your head is at.
Yeah, that's it, no one cares....

Again: Fire > Playbook

While RIM's future appears bleak the release of Blackberry 10 operating system maybe the Companies salvation so I will reserve judgement until then. However the Companies inability to give a release date keeps me on the sidelines from investing in RIM.

What difference will that make? What possible advantage would they have over Samsung?

I think RIM like most companies is seduced into the lore of being #1. Look at android that is a world of hurt for device makers, margins are getting slimmer and slimmer, and they just make money off a 1 time sale of hardware, only google itself seems to make money from android through search.

RIM makes money off the hardware, off the monthly subscription, I am guessing they charge an annual fee for their corporate tools to manage BBs. If they get decent apps, they would also make money from apps as well. If they get their apps up to par, selling 1 BB device would be more profitable than apple selling 2 IOS devices, than Android makers selling 5 Android devices.

Who cares about being #1 in market share, be number #1 in monetizing each sale and hold the fort at #3 or 4 or 5th place. For the love of god, do not blow all your cash trying to develop a WMD to kill apple, it is not going to happen.

take pictures

play hd video

bluetooth

store more than 8 gigs of data
All true but I think we all know that cameras on a tablet are kind of a stupid idea (unless you're going to do something like FaceTime), HD on a 7" screen... perhaps there is a difference, I've watched a video on a fire and it looked good, not iPad 3 good but good. Bluetooth for headphones perhaps but I don't know what else. 8 gig is a limitation.
