Anywhere there's a Strip Joint
Why is it that a musician that has passed away wins more Grammys? Was he not as good before? Would Ray Charles have won as many awards if he was still alive?(Remember Luther winning alot last year after he had the stroke?) Also Johnny Cash won a few after he died.
I watched the movie Ray last night, he shot heroin in his early years, and what a womanizer.

What does drug use and being a womanizer have to do with being a great artist? That's what rock and roll was founded on. I agree with you to a certain degree, the grammy organizers do give out mercy awards. I don't think people will remember Usher, Miss Keys, and other artists of today like they do the artists of the past.

She might be one of the few that has a career long enough to even be compared . The duet with Fox was spectacular .

Anyone notice , at least in the live performances , that music finally wrestled the grammy's back from rap . Performances by the aforementioned Keys , U2 , Joss Stone and Etheridge , .....even Lynyrd Skynard . Gotta love it . :D

Correct. And that was a smoking rendition by her to say the least.

Queen Latifah was great. I didn't know she could sing like that.

The show was great (especially Green Day, U2) apart from the terrible 10 min opening. Less is more...

You're right-I saw the opening-It was so bad, I didn't bother tuning in again-Guess I must've missed a good show.

Absolutely...money and fame buys alot of things...even ugly Jay Z has bootylicious Beyonce on his arm (for now)

Ratings were down 28% from last year, lowest total since 1985.
