CBC has this thing i seen during the hockey game asking the question...

"Who is the Greatest Canadian?"

Would it be a politician, an athlete, a business tycoon, a famous explorer?

To tell you the truth i'm not sure who i would choose. Not without doing some research first.

My first choice was & still is Pierre Trudeau. He's a man who was visionary and changed Canada for the better in ways that we are still feeling today and will feel for generations to come. Though not without controversy and certainly not without fault, I think he did what was best for Canada and transformed the country into an even greater nation than it was.

Well gentelman what about Rene Leveque? History says he was the glue in a time (the 70s) that without his leadership in Quebec(controling those that would have let shit hit the fan) But does that qualify him as the greatest Canadian?

What about our proverbial son Wayne Gretsky? Who has done more for sport in Canada than Mr. Gretsky? But still the greatest Canadian?...............i don't think so. --- Kev
