Well, I don't know about them showing it on CHCH last summer, maybe something similar but it is a showtime original and they DON'T show first run on broadcast television.
Plus I have yet to see tittie sucking or pussy grinding on broadcast TV (city tv excluded lol).

I've been conducting a somewhat detailed comparison of the CH and Showcase broadcasts and I haven't found that CH edited a whole lot out. The girls are great Dana and Jenny just do it for me and I would have to say Shane's a little butchy...but I like it.

I taped the CH episodes but the quality isn't that great anymore...who knew VHS tapes would wear out that easily. So far there's nothing new on Showcase that I haven't seen already. I was really surprised by what was aired on CH. CH even showed a glimpse of bush in one episode where there was a party on a boat and the girls doffed their close and jumped into the hot tub.

They're Back . . .
Season 2 started on Canada's Showcase this week (Thursday's 10 p.m.) and the show seems hotter, right from the opening credits, which alone probably deserve an "R" rating.jpf said:

Finally season 2 has started here. I agree that the new opening credits are pretty risque even including a brief boob shot. I assume that the actress playing Marina left the series because her character was written out (with about 5 different explanations/rumours as to why in the show).
The distributors of theses shows often create several versions of the same program. It's quite easy to create a different opening credit sequence and shoot another 1-4 minutes in the show. This allows them to sell multiple versions of the same show to various broadcasters to suit the broadcasters restrictions.
For years this has been done for shows sold in Europe where the public reaction to nudity on TV is far more liberal.
There really isn't much difference in Canada between cable and broadcast. The rules are the same. Disclaimer and time shown are the two major caveats that must be met. Those rules do not include the porn movies on the Movie Network. They fall under a totally seperate set of rules due to the license the CRTC issued. Movie Network must identify the film rating and provide a disclaimer, but they are not restricted in anyway in terms of content, unless it falls outside the laws of what defines pornography. In actual fact, the public sets how much can or cannot be shown. The complaints to the CRTC regarding the Movie Network nightly porn fest is very very low. It was a test that was done to see how it would be received...and they're likin' it!

Only caught a couple of episodes and didn't see anything remotely naughty, it could almost be on prime time NBC or CBS, not Showtime.
