Not really. When healthy, he actually put up fairly decent numbers (22 pts in 32 games) that pretty well matched his previous season with NY. So he didn't play any worse when he got to Toronto, pretty much what people expected of him at that point in his career. He was a fairly cheap pick up with a huge risk.
