Guys, this is a better upgrade and u can tell, for the futures that it has, of course ppl will say it sucks bc they wanted to be all same old, it always happens when u make a change, but in some point on software u need to do it, to put new stuff on it, every company does it, and the afraid of change is something very common, i will say stick with the upgrade and just tweak here and there to make it complete, ppl will get use to it, first time i came to this board i was lost, couldnt find the reply/post new topics, and the message system where very old compared to the other new versions, but i got use to it, now it will be the same.

Changing for a better software is always a step ahead good job guys, just something small like Reply with quote and add multiple quotes now is a good future, something that u had to copy/paste to do before.

BTW u DO NOT need to RELEARN everything, u want to post then there is a button said new post, a reply? it says reply, etc etc, its just getting use to, not relearn.

The only thing i will say is that maybe u can make the font size of the reply box a lil bigger, right now is around 8-9pt? maybe get it like 10-11, but thats the only thing.

GJ!

Forget the colour. With the new look and layout formatting, it makes it even harder to read and use on my Blackberry.

I'm happy to hear that you guys are working on getting the same colors used on the old forum back.

Communication has always been poor here, it's ridiculous that someone had to start a thread to ask what was going on.

The Centre of the Universe!
Perspective please!

I find it highly amusing that so many posters are complaining about "change", "lack of notice", & no need for change. Have you all forgotten that, for the vast majority of us, TERB is provided to us to use free of charge!!!

While I realize that TERB is an entrepreneurial endeavour, and that FredZed earns revenue from the advertisers here, I think it highly likely that he barely breaks even, or worse! Likewise, I believe that the moderators are likely volunteers as well. (Of course, I could be whoreably naive and Fred could be making a killing from this site, but I highly doubt it).

Let's please try to keep this mind before we sound off on how poorly the change was managed, or if the change was even necessary. If we, the "Terbites", give Fred and the mods TOO much grief over this (and other things) one of these days they may decide running this site is just not worth the aggravation!

As far as I am concerned, the only person who has complained so far who has any legitimate right to complain is Keyra, because she is a paid advertiser. But Keyra, please keep in mind that just because you are not aware of why a change was required, that does NOT mean there was not a legitimate reason. It could be as simple as that the vBulletin folks were no longer going to support the version of vBulletin that TERB was previously running on, and so Fred made the decision to upgrade before there were major system outages. This happens all the time.

Instead of everybody complaining 20 times about everything not working, how about giving the administrators some time (24-48 hours) to work out the kinks?

Just my 2 cents on this whole "issue"!

P.S. A big THANK YOU to Fred and the mods for all the great work they do around here!

Hey, I wanted to say that...

Fred, how about user fees? That might make all the complaining more justified.

Lord people give it a chance.

let's be patient

Why are so many people afraid of change?

When I logged on I too was surprised by the changes but I like 'em!

I encourage everyone to be patient and let's see how everything works out over the next week or two while Terb is refined.

I can't think of anyone who enjoys listening to people complain. Fred, Sheik and the mods have done an excellent job for many years. Let's all give them the respect they deserve.

Search doesn't work now, tried different searches on ones I know that are there...and it keeps telling me it finds nothing. Going to need to fix that Bug. Could just be an indexing issue...etc.

everybody take a deep breath, and see what evolves over the next week or so. Patience. Don't be so put off by change. At least my little pussy survived the change.

Why not wait to see what the final product is? If you don't like it, or the way the board is administered, the door leads out - don't let it hit you on the ass as you leave.

It's all very fuzzy and warm... but the blue's gotta go. It's got to be red given the board's subject matter.

Nice to upgrade, but the colour needs work. Not defined enough for these old peepers.
