Maybe it's that their clients are willing to pay more. Like just about everything else, the market will charge what the market will bear. If no one was willing to pay the lady "X" per hour, she wouldn't be in business for long at that price.

As a decided Old Broad, my rates have been fairly consistent and fluctuated only to reflect overhead increases. I charge more than most and less than some because I supply what my clients are looking for and can't seem to find elsewhere easily. I don't have a problem attracting new guests when I want to freshen up my days, so I am assuming my rates which start at $400 a visit are not out of line for the quality of service I provide. That said, most of my guests have been seeing me for 6 years and my dance card is as full as I want it to be when I work. My guests are mainly boomers and they get older at the same rate I do, so it works in both our favors.
It is all a matter of personal preference, once you find the experience you want and the provider that curls your toes, that is a job well done on both parts.

As I'm older myself, and get paid better than when I was a young man, paying for experience doesn't surprise or offend me.
When an SP rasies her rate it does tend to have the effect of limiting things, such as age of clients, or simply the volume of clients they see. Needing more money to live on is also a consideration.
If the clients after seeing a SP feels that she has given them an experieice that is (er....hum....) overwhelming, then the SP will probally get a positive review and repeat business, even if the rates are higher. But if a younger SP see's that geez several other ladies are raising their rates I will do the same, they may fail to realise that the older SP are not just offering quickies but a whole lot more that tend to come with expereince.
It's all a mater of perspective, depending on what we as hobiest are looking for at any given time. We as hobiest speak to the SP by our reviews, who we choose to book with, if we repeat with a higher price older SP that give us a mind blow experince everytime that speaks volumes. If we see the younger ones that we just book with every so offten just in passing for a quickie and never see again also speaks volumes.
A few of my older co-workers have caught the "silver bullet" because the company felt that they can get a younger woman (or man) to do the job at a lower pay scale.

My data shows that 4/5 older guys prefer, as we researchers have abbreviated it, SBTYM. Sure, there are some deviations to this general 4/5, but factoring out ethnicity, income, marital status, dick size, and ideal bum size, the general consensus reach by the experts is 4/5.

I am not sure which "older" SPs you are referring to, but in Ottawa, I know of at least a half dozen SPs over 45 who's rates are in line with others.

Isn't that what SP's are for ?? Who seeks out an SP for long term friendship and possible romance ? I would suggest most SP's would prefer a man that is interested in just sexual gratification (i.e.: no emotional strings).
