People like me. We VOTED him in. We also gained over 1,000 more Republicans in various legislatures over the last 8 years. Maybe it's time the liberals looked in the mirror.

Stop all your whining and petty excuses and blaming everyone else. The electoral college, Russians, FBI, all these other excuses you try to put forth did not get Trump elected. The American people did it, deal with it. Liberals need to get better candidates and better ideas and accept responsibility for what they've created. Nothing magic or sinister here, just plain old good common sense.

Let's see - the last time Republicans controlled all three levels of Government - they left the country in a recession ie: a) unemployment doubled, b) GDP was contracting at alarming rates c) according to the Fed Bank - 'the most severe economic catastrophe since the Depression of the 1930s ' d) 5,000 of USA's top corporations lost over $10 Trillion dollars.

And the prior time that Republicans controlled all three levels ... oh, they ushered in the great depression.

Might I point out while you give republicans 60 /70 senate seats and 400 congress seats for 2020 that after their disastrous plurality leading to the recession, Republicans lost all three levels of government in the next election. You now have a narcissistic buffoon who has had 4 bankruptcies leading a group with a record of crashing the US economy.

Sadly even with a plurality, democrats are incapable of doing anything except rowing in circles. If the US had a third party based on rational thought - you wonder just how far ahed that country would be ...

People like you are a minority. Trump won by getting swing voters to vote for him. If the Russians and the FBI swung more than 1 vote in 150 then they indeed altered the outcome

As Canadians, we can just sit back and laugh at the comedy of surreal blunders which will ensue, but hope that things don't go so far off the rails that civilization is threatened. The Trumpladites needn't pat themselves on the back though because without the horrible campaign by Hillary, and the meddling of Putin and the hordes of fake news propaganda sites, this ridiculous situation could never have happened. Trump did a great job of catering to the hidden racism and alienation of the common man though ( even though he is a total fraud who cares for no one but his fragile ego).

They got an early start and tried to cut out an ethics watchdog. Trump got mad and tweeted, told them to get busy lowering taxes for the rich and cutting off obamacare first.

In the present case what gave Trump the election was everything but the definitive democratic model: having more people pick him than anyone else.

Rigging, interfering, lying, and the outmoded and corrupt electoral system all played a part, and the contribution each made can be argued for days, but being the people's choice had nothing to do with it, because the majority preferred the other candidate.

I don't like Hillary , but her supporters have every right to be pissed, she won the popular vote by 3,000,000 votes, yet lost the presidency.

Trump won a rigged system, the electoral college is stupid. If the shoe was on the other foot and Trump won 3,000,000 more votes, but lost I'd say the same thing, I have no horse in it, I can't stand either Hillary or Donald. Their are countries and American states with less then 3,000,000 people, that a massive amount of people, and large lead and still Hillary lost. So yeah her supporters are pissed and so they should be, a bit far to many are acting like idiots about instead of responding cleverly.
