Thanks for clarifying matters.

Nando had a very sour puss when he came in for coffee this morning - I didn't want to pry.

Carlo should get traded to anther team, his papa would suffer less.

The coach Mr Senstive " Wilson " says thats what you get when your out of shape ?? He got hit by a shot ....
guyroch, I think you believe the namby pamby bullshit you hear players and coached speak into microphones...

Wilson is my kind of coach, a guy who is not so politically correct, but has sound fundamentals.

Since when did being a good coach meant you were sensitive.

Its a given that Wilson's comment missed the mark because Colaiacovo did hurt his ankle by getting hit by a shot... but it is a fact that players do get hurt more when they are not in their best shape...

Good for Wilson...

Wilson might be a good coach but keep those comments to yourself.

If he wants to talk to any of his players, then do it face to face.

As fans, we certainly want to know what goes on and if there is any disruptions among the team but that stuff should stay in house.

Making a comment like that to the media is unacceptable.

He was injured from a shot. Carlo might not be a gym rat but I heard he is in very good shape. I must agree with people that say players who are usually in better shape are not injured as often as players who do not work out as regularly but that's not always the case.

This is not necessarily a comment about Carlo C, so don't take it that way.

I think that we have too many spoiled people in sports and in general life. People who just expect things to be given to them without putting in the hard work. Over the past few years, many of our Leafs players seem to have fallen into that category... Wilson was brought in because the Leafs had failed.

I would agree that a coach should approach his players directly instead of making such comments in the media. However, given that the Leafs have been crap over the past few years, I don't think Wilson was out of line. He has already given enough other players their not so subtle messages. His comment also indicated that he has talked to Carlo about his fitness level, so perhaps he was not getting the response from Carlo thru other methods.

My question to Wilson would be... if you are not satisfied with Carlo's conditioning, what have you done, or are you going to do about it other than take shots at him thru the media??? After all, isn't it the coaches job to ensure that his players are ready to play???

Colaiacovo constant bad luck with
injuries ... Concusions being one of them prevents a player from going all out with workouts .. Although I don't know the whole story in regards to Carlo's
dedication to fitness ...
really? so you are suggesting that he's still feeling concussion symptoms from January of 2006! he wasn't even hit that hard...
