Disregarding the original hateful circumstances of the story, in hindsight now after almost 60 years of trouble, was it really the best decision to give them the chosen location? I admittedly am not up on my religious history (and may even believe that religion is a contributor to all conflicts unfortunately), but could somewhere else have sufficed? If it were to be done again would the same path be chosen?
Just wondering.
It wasn't given to them. They reclaimed their ancient nation, and then fought the Arabs to keep it. They are and were the only entity to occupy that land as a sovereign nation. Their historical connection to that piece of land goes back thousands of years.

And why single out Israel? The other neighboring Arab countries were carved out of the Ottoman Empire as well. To top it off, the “Palestinians” already have a homeland, it is called Jordan.

The whole "Palestinian" issue is a fraud to once again divert attention from Islamic failure.

the Jews also had several homelands oh like the United States, Russia, Ukraine, Poland etc etc, till the Nazi holocaust compounded with European guilt decided that the Palestinians must pay for what happened to the Jews in Auschwitz and Treblinka, the Ashekanazi and Sephardic Jews have about as much in common as an Irish and a Venezuelan Catholic do.

Jordan was a piece of territory carved out of Palestine and Syria by the Brits and the French, ever look at a map and wonder how the borders of the Middle East are all nice prefect straight lines, its because they were drawn in by Sikes-Picot with a freaking ruler

And what is the population of Jews in the United Stats, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, etc...? 0 to 2 percent.

"When people say Jordan (first called Trans-Jordan) is an Arab-"Palestinian" State, they are correct! Jordan accounts for 3/4 of Palestine's original land mass. Though they may call themselves "Jordanians," they are culturally, ethnically, historically and religiously no different than the Arab-"Palestinians" on the "West Bank." Even the flag of Jordan and the flag of the proposed 2nd Arab-Palestinian state on the West Bank / Gaza look almost identical. So, if the Arab-Palestinians and Jordanians think of themselves as one and the same, why should WE fall for the lie that the Arab Palestinians west of the Jordan River are any different from the Jordanian Arabs on its eastern shore?"

So are you confirming my statement? I am perplexed.

No, what he is telling you is that your version of the history is the British imposed version and has no resemblance to the actual historical facts of the area.
Anyway we have already covered this subject in some details on this forum, so doing a search would be nice!

Yes, the Arab perspective is always so much more entertaining. I suppose you believe that the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" is a legitimate historical document? Why shouldn’t we believe the Arabs, they are typically the leader in any given field. Be it math, chemistry, medicine, history, etc…, their academic record is second to none. Good one, you tool!

You are saying that the Ottoman Empire didn’t control the land that is now called Lebanon, Syria, Israel, and Palestine, from 1517 till 1916? Fascinating. Please provide links to support this assertion.

Bulshit . . . he never said that, the corrupt politicians & Zionist backed editorials have a long track record of taking a straight talk out of the context and put a spin on it to suit their own sinister agenda! One would wish that some of you guys could have recognized that by now!

......
There are about 13 million Jews in the world - 5m in Israel, 5m in the US and 3 in the rest of the world - very round numbers.

Given we have roughly 300m people, that would be about 1.3% of the US population.
