So Harper cut back on government spending, including the size of the public servants, in order to achieve a balance budget. Sounds like the right thing to do, rather than run huge deficits and continue to balloon the size of the public servants.

And don't like how Doug Ford is governing, and unless things change wouldn't vote for him and didn't the last election. I think he has more Liberal values, than Conservative ones.

The differences is that while Trudeau had a pandemic, and it shutdown many businesses, it rebounded quickly after the pandemic ended, and Trudeau ran huge surplus before and after. In Harper's case, the world wide great recession took several years to rebound for all countries. You really don't have much sense of what really happens.

It was more than just deregulation, there was a lot of mortgage fraud that contributed significantly to the recession. I am sure you are waiting for regulation to tell how to live your daily life otherwise you can't decide anything. Most people can think on their own, excluding the leftist of course.
