I just do not understand why we are hearing more and more of this sort of stuff all of the time.
It is unfortunate but I do believe that people read about what happened at the tennis courts etc.. about blades in wood etc.. and then decide to go out and be copy cats.
What ever happened to friendly neighbors and people helping each other instead of how can we destroy or harm our neighbors?
That is sad that 2 year old little girl could have been harmed if her father did not see it and had of instead picked her up to play with her. Why do people need to destroy things for everyone else? I think children will only be children once and should be able to enjoy thier childhood rather than having fear ridden parents that are so scared to let thier children enjoy themselves. Instead we hear of these things and need to be protective as well. Well, more protective than it used to have to be.

It is funny how we bounce back from one extreme to the next. My mother told me stories of how they used to take one shred of hair from off her own scalp and lay it flat on her hand as they paddled her hand when she was in school as punishment. I think this was a bit much as well especially considering what sorts of infections may have been caused. They did however get rid of the spanking law so you can once again gain some disiplinary actions for your child again.tzahal said:

A good slap is what some kids need. As a child I knew my parents loved me very much but I also knew I wasn't the center of the universe and couldn't willy-nilly do whatever I pleased. Today, kids grow up thinking everything revolves around them.
This story is evidence A. The fact that other children would bleed or be hurt was secondary to the entertainment of the teenagers who put the glass there. Teenagers today lack empathy skills, the basic building block of society's morality...
