As there seems to be a rash of newbies asking a lot of suspect questions lately I thought maybe I could give some advice.

DON'T join Terb and with your first few posts ask (or even worse - demand) for information on what MP to go to, or what SP to see. Don't ask what extras might be available from which girl at a SC. READ. I'll repeat that ..... READ. The answers are already here.

There is tons of information here for everyone to read, all you have to do is take the time. Why won't we just do all the work for you? Because when we joined we took the time to check things out before asking a lot of questions ...... and those who didn't learned in a hurry that they should.

We share information here. SHARE. That means you need to give if you expect to receive. Now I'm sure you're asking "how can I share if I'm new to the area or new to the hobby?" READ. You can make some pretty informed decisions on who to see based on what is here. Once you've seen someone you should POST about your experience. After you post you become a sharer. We like sharers as they are what make Terb work. After you begin to share you begin to be a trusted member. Just be careful how you share as you don't want to labeled a SHILL. To learn more about shills simply READ more posts here. You'll find lots of examples of someone being called a shill and the debate that will ensue to try to decide if the label is earned.

If you come here asking all sorts of stuff, especially digging for who might be doing things that could possibly be outside normal allowances we will label you as LE. Fat chance you'll ever get any info.

It's well known that we are all law abiding citizens here and will not allow, offer or ask for anything illegal. And we police ourselves in this regard as we will use the PM function to report to other TRUSTED members any wrongdoings so we can be sure proper measures are taken.

If you are new and attempting to share but start telling us about possibly illegal activities we will have to report you to the moderator so that we can deal with these matters through proper channels. Which would be to PM a trusted member about these activities so they could be investigated and dealt with accordingly. We police ourselves, we don't need no stinkin' LE to help us. And we don't want the ones we've identified as LE to read such things. So we'll try to get your post deleted. If that happens you could be BANNED by a moderator. End of problem.

DON'T PM a member (such as me) asking for some inside info on an SP if you've never posted and shared. We'll figure you're LE and delete your PM. I have to delete so many of these PMs from unknown folks who crawl out of the woodwork it's ridiculous. I could spend that time getting laid or investigating possible illegal activities that were reported to me via PM.

We're here sharing info and spending money and PMing each other to report activities so we can deal with them appropriately. Don't come trolling in here thinking you're getting a free ride. We're happy to share but don't like being taken advantage of. Pull your weight in addition to pullin yer pud.

Welcome to the hobby. By now you may be thinking who is this asshole slurp? No, I'm not a moderator. Just another guy who likes to share and find a gem and see her a few times before sharing. But when I first came here I read. And observed. I made some good decisions based on what I read and realized I saved a lot of money and headaches. So I realized it would be good to share and be a productive part of this place. You'd be wise to do the same ......

Happy Hobbying!

bye bye Poll

I admit that poll was poorly conceived. A lot here don't seem to understand my attempt at humour so I got rid of it. I wrongly thought that attaching a tongue in cheek poll would draw attention to the post. It did exactly the opposite. What was really important to me was my post in the thread so I decided to start over and post only that.

I apologize to those who didn't take the time to read my post thoroughly or perhaps didn't understand it. I'm hoping the removal of the poll will allow folks to focus on what I felt was my real intentions ...... to be helpful to the new guys and to remind others to think before posting. Advice I had to follow myself ....

BTW, there are still attempts at humour in the post. If you read something you don't understand or it pisses you off, just try to make believe it was funny

As a relative newbie who did his homework and has tried to share, I can attest to what slurp is saying. The search function, and the advanced search feature (for instance, when you are info. on a certain named lady, it is often helpful to narrow down your search to a region ... advanced search is good for that) can be a big help. Also the faqs here are a very good resource. After almost a year, I still haven't asked many questions, and when I have I always tried to make sure the answer wasn't always given in a previous post.

BTW, there is a major grammar error in the last paragraph of slurp's first post: It's not, "this slurp asshole," its "this asshole slurp." :>)))))

see? I knew removing the poll would allow the focus to be shifted to my grammar mistakes!

duly noted and fixed ...... not bad, that was a lot of words for only one major error *lol*

Wow, I didn't realize Fred had appointed you to determine who and what should be posted on TERB!

Here's a thought - let people join/post/ask/contribute whatever they want. If you don't want to respond, fine. They'll either learn, or not, or find some other way to contribute.

Let them learn on their own without some self-appointed tin star telling them what they should and shouldn't be doing. If they're seriously out of line, inform the mods. At least they're APPOINTED tin stars.

Slurp speaks for many of us here in the OTTAWA section who have been faced with many pms and public requests from newbies or those who have not contributed. He has taken the time to provide sage advice to the OTTAWA board newbies about how to conduct them selves here. Following the common sense advice will likely lead to making established OTTAWA members more comfortable about sharing with newbies. After all we were all newbies at one time but lately in OTTAWA there has been a rash of rude and belligerent newbies and low counts who take, take , take but never give.

How's the weather in Toronto ? May I ask where you got your tin star ?:p

Well, first, this isn't the OTTAWA board, this is TERB. Owned and operated and functioning under the owner's rules. Those rules are posted in the lounge.

Second, if you don't want a pm from someone, or don't want to see their posts, there is an 'ignore' function.

I'm not trying to create new rules or procedures as a tin star might. I'm pointing out that the board is for everyone no matter what city in which they might reside. Terribly sorry if you don't like that.

Let me see if I can remember some of that 'sage' and 'common sense' advice provided by you and slurp.

"...shut your yap unless you have something we want to hear."
"not too smuckin fart"
"idiots"

Yep. Sage.

Ohh...right...slurp said that was HUMOUR.

Thanks Fridrikk, sometimes you fine mods get to them and other times you can't and we understand that. Slurp raised some really good points that need to be highlighted because of all the recent local issues. As we all know newbies don't always do their research and don't know to look for rules before posting. A kind and well thought reminder like Slurps serves us all well in the end.

Thanks to those who feel the need to overstate the obvious and not understand the root cause of a local issue, well you are entitled to your opinions and expressing them as are the rest of us, that's what makes this such an interesting place to visit. If it is necessary to take words out of context to prove a point then so be it.

So enogh bickering let's get on to the ladies!

Who said that and where?

I'm glad this whole thing annoys you, it means there's some validity to it. Like I've said, I'm probably the biggest supporter of newbies in the Ottawa forum and don't need to justify what I do to you.

So not only do you not understand humour, you also can't grasp suggestions. I have the feeling that's just the tip of the iceberg ......

I'm beginning to understand that you'll find fault with whatever comes from this and ya know, that's ok. Your opinion is just that and folks can see what it's worth.

That quote was by Cowboy Kenny in the thread you deleted.

As for your continued insults, you're not worth the bother.

As always, you guys attack the poster, not the post.

Sorry, I didn't delete your funny stuff, old pal. You could never "pisses" me off, we have too much history .....

To get rid of the poll I had to delete the whole shebang. I even had to delete MY funny stuff, so don't feel you've been singled out.

Feel free to repost all your funny stuff cuz we need a good laugh!

Maybe you can show Meesh what humour is?

Sheesh Meesh, now you don't understand insults either! What the hell do you understand?

You'll know when I start insulting you, there'll be no wondering. :p

"Let them learn on their own without some self-appointed tin star telling them what they should and shouldn't be doing."

^^^^^^^ The pot calling the kettle black ^^^^^^^

You happy now?

BTW, just looked at what threads you've created ... not a single one a review of anyone. NOW I see why you take such offense to this thread, kinda hits home doesn't it?

OK, I'm done with you. While you don't NEED to post reviews to be on Terb, it SHOULD be a requirement if you intend to join a discussion about them. It's NOT so fire away if you feel the need. Just don't wait around for me to reply to you anymore.

At least you won't have to try to figure out if I insult you ............

If everyone reads and no one posts ... eventually there will be no discussions on the board....
If a guy has not a sinlge review in his post history it should mean one of two things:
1. he's GREEDY and only TAKES info, doesn't SHARE.
OR...
2. He hasn't seen an SP/MP

I'm not surprised you didn't find any reviews.

I've just rechecked the posting guidelines as presented by the guy who owns the board. I fail to see the requirement there. People contribute to the board in their own way. Or they don't contribute. At one time, Fred decided to try a 5 post a month minimum (but note, no rule as to content.) That didn't work.

So, just how many reviews must one have to join a discussion about them? Or is it a moving target? Who decides, you?

I'll say once more - tin stars try to create their own rules. I'm just pointing out the ones that are there. Or aren't there. I like the board the way the owner runs it.

Offended? Hardly, despite your attempts.

And once again, I've discussed what's posted. You discuss the poster.

But, hey, by all means, run your suggestions by Fred Zed. You remember him, the board owner? I know he has taken suggestions from members in the past. If yours are worthwhile, I'm certain he'll implement them.

Go home, no one here in Ottawa wants to play with you. You are what is commonly referred to on discussion boards as a troll. You thrive on the attention and you cause shit to get attention, sad really. Maybe if you hooked up with a lady you'd find yourself a little less frustrated.

As you are so quick to quote the rules I might remind you that while you have over 3000 posts few to none are actually reviews of escorts. If you hadn't noticed thats what the ER stands for in TERB.

The purpose of this thread was to discuss how newbies could contribute with relevant posts, and discussions. None of your posts are relevant and you offer no valid discussion topics on the designated purpose of this board.

No one from here has gone to the Toronto section to tell you what and how to post, so please just mind your own business and act like adult, you have to be an adult to be on this board, so please act like one.

If you don't like what we're doing here in Ottawa then you are free to leave, no one asked for your opinion and I think we've made it clear that we don't care for your type here, you know the people who don't share.

Drive safe.
