Their advice before you are out of a job, join professional clubs, associations and mingle with people outside of your profession as job referral may be from most unexpected places. Heck, may be even on Terb. Many jobs today aren't advertised. The one listed may already have someone in mind merely going thru the formalities of posting.
I think it was a Psych survey not long ago stated, losing a job may be the 2nd most stressful event in a man's life. I think the 1st was impotence and another was marital/family problems. I witnessed many people lost their jobs this year and it was traumatic for everyone.
