I was already married by the time those apps appeared, but I did have a lot of success with the chat lines back in the day. Many woman I hooked up with told me the same thing. Most guys were idiots and couldn't carry on a conversation.
And you get to leave with no questions asked.

I have to admit, I am thinking of giving Tinder a shot.
The way I see it, I can appeal to two groups, younger women who go for older men because they know they're good in the sack and women my own age who have divorced or come out of a LTR who are just looking for something casual.

I dont have much success on these apps. When I do, I find these women boring or too stuck up or just plain gold diggers. I have had a couple of dates where I suspect they went out with me only for the free meal.
Nothing beats hobbying, you get the best women to have sex with for a fraction of the cost.
If you want a relationship, go participate in an activity you enjoy and meet someone that way. Otherwise there is a lot of racism, undercover sugar babies, gold digging etc., on dating apps.

The operative word being "nearly"!
I have had success on Tinder but the volume of banal texts you have to exchange is ridiculous. It is really a huge time suck. One thing I have learned is that the less attractive the women, the less responsive they become past the initial match intros. I have a theory that the less attractive ones get an overwhelming amount of swipes and either can't keep up themselves or have satisfied their need for approval. The top 10% attractive ones are the ones I got the most meaningful exchanges with and actually met and had fun with.
So why are you here?
