Traffic Ticket Question

Actually - I have a question for TERB.

I drove to California two years ago from Toronto. I was going through the New Mexico desert, and got nailed doing 170 Kms/hr in a 100 km/hr (70 mph???). Well, I never paid it, and was told that there might even be a warrant out for me if I cross the border again...is that true??

If what you say is true, how did you get you car plate renewal? Ontario now has an agreement with all 50 states that if fines are not paid, then you do not get your license plates renewed. Same for your drivers license, however that could take 3 years to happen. If this has happened to you then probably you slipped through the cracks somehow.......but don't be surprised if it comes back to haunt you one day.

i never pay USA fines: speeding or parking or toll booths. I go thru the easy pass lanes (like our 407) and they send me a bill which i throw out. i have never had a problem with renewals or getting restopped by the cops later.
might catch up to me someday but but the last 15 have been ok

Got caught doing 120 in an 80 on highway 41, the OPP officer was nice to me and knock it down to 109 and gave me no points, then shot the shit with me for 5min.... before saying "drive safe and watch your speed" Thanks dude

Always treat the officer with respect. ... I did do that and ended up with a minor fine because I was nice to the guy both on the road and in court.

Most cops are decent people, just a few of them are real a$$holes. Trust me, I've dealt with a few of them

So... treat cops with respect. Treat the ladies with respect. If you do this, eveyone will be happy.
