Has anyone ever used one of those companies that advertise to fight your traffic tickets for you and if they lose then you don't have to pay them??? Just wondering what their rates were like and if it involves going to court to fight the tickets.

Also, if the ticketing officer wrote the wrong information on the ticket as far as the year of the vehicle saying that it is a 2005 when it isn't, doesn't that make the ticket null and void if I wasn't driving a 2005 vehicle when I got pulled over?

Any info would help.

Thanks.

traffic tickets

You can do the smae as they do go to traffic court before due date and tell the clerk that you were unjustly ticketed and the clerh will accept 50% of the parking fine if paid on the spot for speeding request a meeting with the crown and they will deal the speeding ticket down to 50% providing that thetre is no criminal charges like 150k in a 70k zone or a school zone I`ve done this a few times and that is what points does if it`s impaired driving tough

My wife went to Points in Scarborough regarding a few tickets my mother-in-law received and they were extremely helpful to the point where they gave enough free advice that she could go to the pre-trial appearance and get the charges reduced and thrown out.

I had a speeding ticket that involved fighting the ticket in Orillia. The Points office there said it would cost $375 and the best I could probably hope for was a reduction from $90 to $60 and no points. I decided to go myself and when I got there, a court official came in and offered that to everyone in the same situation as me. It was take it or leave it. I took it and saved the $375.

Q. The officer wrote the wrong year of my vehicle on the ticket. Will this get the ticket cancelled?

A. The year indicated on the ticket is usually the year of the licence plate sticker, not the year of the vehicle.

Even if the year of the vehicle was written or the year of the sticker was not correct it would not get the ticket canceled. At court all the officer has to say is that they observed a motor vehicle speeding, they stopped that motor vehicle and then identify the driver. Its not a fatal mistake.

What cartoons?

And can I go to just any traffic court or does it have to be in the jurisdiction that is on the ticket which the officer said would be where I would have to go if I chose to plead not guilty. Just curious because I was travelling out of town at the time and it would be a huge inconvenience to have to go out of town.

Also I don't want to have to pay any of it if I can help it. It's almost $500 between all 3 tickets and its right at Christmas time!!!

Hey thanks Peteeey,

I'm assuming then that Points is the name of the company that does that traffic ticket fighting??? I couldn't remember what they were called.

I wonder if I could get the tickets moved from Orillia to Scarborough???

You have to fight the ticket in the jurisdiction where the infraction was comitted. You got the ticket in Orillia? Just show up and they'll offer you a deal. In Scarborough my wife talked to a crown attorney or someone who then made an offer.

4/ You are willing to "roll the dice": Maybe th ticket won't get filed on time or in the right court (OOPS) it'll be quashed. If not apply for a trial. If the cop doesn't show--ask for a dismissal..you had to take time off work...this is already punishment financially..yada yada.
If the cop does show, speak to the crown prior to court and try to setup a deal like #2 above.
If the cop doesn't show and you plead not guilty it is automatically thrown out.

BUT, you have to make sure that you don't check the option where the court can rely on the cop's notes.

Hey everybody thanks so much.

What I've decided to do so far is plead not guilty and wait for a court date.

That's as far as I've gotten. Once I have the court date then I think I may try to rebook it a couple of times and increase my chances of the officer not being there. Aside from that, I haven't decided where I will go from that point forward. Guess I will decide when the court date is set.

F the Crowns !!! more like Clowns !

80,000 a year sure but 90% of the Crowns in Traffic court are mis-informed lower IQ rejects, c'mon Traffic Court !!!! they see multiple cases each day and you can catch them off guard especially if you prepare yourself.

I have an 80% success rate, and no I do not work for an agent or am an ex cop or ......I just and paid attention in Law class in grade 11 12. All you have to do is "feel" the courtroom before your trial, don't just listen to the previous cases but feel how the Judge/Crown are interacting ( good or bad day). You cannot pull Law and Order type shit, they love to expose the A&E junkies.
Remember "Not Guilty" does not mean innocent, it means the Crown has to prove you did it without a reasonable doubt. The Crown wasn't there, the cop was and the cops notes and recolection of the events are the only evidence they have. Most cops barely finished High School and they're notes are a piece of shit. Exploit the cop in court ! Make them your bitch !!! Snooker them with their own info ! Really pay attention to the line of questioning from the Crown, take notes, prepare questions and a line of questioning in an order that you can predict answers and stomp the cop's destimony out like a bug.

The point system in Ontario is bullshit, Insurance companies look at convictions whether it is 100km over the limit or 5km. fight the conviction, fuck the leser points and fine. Usually if you loose in trial they drop the points and the fine anyway.

I've said too much !!
A good book "Fight that Tickect in Ontario Court" It may be out of print.

Good Luck to all and Peace.
