Travels to downtown Toronto

Question for you frequent travellers who find themselves in Toronto - is there anything downtown that’s anything like Hush, ATPS, Sparx, or Luxe? Or even, reputable MA indies?

I fly into Toronto at least a few times a year for 3-5 days due to work. No car, little time, no desire to take transit for an hour to visit the neighbouring cities. All I’ve ever seen anywhere near the downtown areas are AMPs. I’d love to experience more than that.

Or are we just actually quite lucky here in Ottawa?

Absolute Health Spa. But it's far smaller than the mega suburban spas

Jason, I'm thrilled to finally be able to give back to the Ottawa community, after y'all have been so helpful to me.

While there are some good options here, there's nothing downtown that matches what I've experienced in Ottawa at Hush, Alpha, ATPS, or Vibe. Your closest option would be Pure (part of the Premier chain), which is just east of the Don Valley Parkway along Eglinton. Not too long a trip by cab/Uber, if you're not travelling at peak times.

Wherever you end up, there are some Ottawa features you shouldn't expect here. No beds - pretty much everywhere is tables - and no SF2 to start. OTOH, pricing is a little more predictable here.

Appreciate the insight. I held onto a faint hope somehow Toronto might have even more to offer than Ottawa. I’m guessing by-laws in the city centre have a part in this. Definitely makes me appreciative of the offerings we have in our small, modest city.

I’ll see about checking out Pure if I can make it work. 🤞

Partly a by-law issue. One factor is that there's a cap on the number of body rub parlour licenses in the city. So someone wanting to get into spa business would have to buy one of those existing licenses, or open up a holistic spa, which has limited hours, not allowed to show attendant photos on your website, etc. The other factor is the cost of real estate.

Drop me a DM if you have other questions. There are other good options if you're willing to be a little more flexible with your travel restrictions.

And yes, I've had some exceptional experiences in Ottawa since last fall. Y'all are very fortunate there.

I believe you’re actually quite lucky in Ottawa.
I’m also assuming you’re flying into Billy Bishop airport vs Pearson because if you’re near the latter, I think Sensa would be the closest to what you’re looking for from an aesthetic/provider point of view.

Yes, exactly. It’s incredibly convenient. Such a easy airport to get in and out of, and I love being able to simply walk to and from the hotel.
