I think they're still open....haven't been by to see. I will miss the Silver Star, the other one not so much due to location. At least the Silver Star had a back door. They also were the only one that had a non-asian attendant, although she left a long time ago.

Quinte West has temporarily suspended the licences of two downtown massage parlours, pending further investigation.

City CAO Gary Dyke said Wednesday bylaw enforcement officers will be investigating to see if the Silver Star Studio on Elgin Street and the Sunny Health Spa in Market Square violated the conditions of a bylaw passed in 2007.

The body rub parlours were at the centre of an OPP raid Tuesday.

Investigators received information last November the parlours were allegedly conducting illicit sexual transaction.............

..............City officials met with police Wednesday.

Further charges by the police are also pending.

The court date was March 1. There wasn't a peep about this in the local media. Anyone hear what happened? (I guess it's safe to assume there won't be any re-openings anytime soon.)

Sunny health is completely empty. DRove by it tonight. I think the other one is emptied out too. Don't think anything is gonna open up anytime soon. Belleville would likely see a new place before Trenton does.

The Silver Star owner was thinking of fighting the charges and feeling fairly assured of herself that she would be open again at some point. The bad news is, i dont think she is fully understanding that she isnt up against a few simple bylaw infractions, rather criminal charges as well. I dont think she has a lawyer or appreciates the severity of what had transpired..language barriers
