In response to several questions posed re this trip:
Traveling alone is not great, so a companion is good and adds security to both. Whether that person is male or female doesn't really matter to me, but of course that would affect what goes on and how the trip takes shape.
As an example, if a male wished to travel along, we would likely have separate accommodations and our activities while there may reflect the fact that two guys are down in the tropics. If that were the case, I would expect that the travel buddy would pay his own way entirely.
If however, the travel companion is a female, then some other options could be open and on the table, but that would be totally up to the individual.
My primary purpose in this trip is to visit two friends who lived in London several years ago, to see how they are doing.
I am still accepting "expressions of interest" in the trip. Dates are Sept 1 to 9.
