You are forgetting the much easier method - have the Supreme Court re-interpret the Constitution in a way that you prefer.
A lower court judge already opened the question of whether or not the 22nd amendment really means two total or two consecutive, so they can always change the constitution that way if they really want to avoid the whole pesky amendment thing.

If you weaken everything enough then the Constitution is just words on paper.
But like I said, I anticipate a lot more of the Constitution to be changed via "creative interpretation" than through forcibly suspending it or overturning it.
Vance is an interesting mix of two of the major factions - the Christian nationalism wing and the TechBroligarch wing.
